Not matter what age you are - you must see this beautiful castle even if you can only see the outside and the grounds - not recommended for elderly or infirm as there are no lifts

The castle in Conegliano was well worth the short hike up. The views were spectacular. We highly recommend you find the alternate route down, much quicker.

Amazing views...got here just ahead of the rain. Sat outside of cafe and enjoyed a couple beverages with the rain and stunning views! Highly recommend!!

Nice place, lovely trip on foot from center climbing up to castle. Beautifull view, amazing garden. Worth visiting

lovely venue for the wedding we attended although the narrow road up and back was a heart stopper. the bride & groom arrived by horse-drawn carriage and the mayor officiated for the ceremony.

The Castle is a place you don't want to miss if you are in Conegliano. Easy access with a car or by foot is about a twenty minutes easy hike. Once you are up there you can visit the castle's museum inside (check for schedule and price) and get on the very top, where, on a clear day (after the rain) you can spot Venice looking South with a good binocular. Eat at the nearby restaurant.Enjoy.

Castle wasnt open to visit, but outside views demonstrate the geopolitical importance of the area. Our main goal was to learn more about the new DOCG Prosecco Superior designation, and we spent the entire day along the Prosecco Road in this appellation

The castle is situated high above the historic centre of the town. There are several paths connecting the city with the castle. No matter which is chosen to climb the hill they all offer magnificent views of the city, the plains and the Alpes in the background. The walk up is accompanied by the medieval defence walls and there are some smaller chapels on the way to admire as well as a Franciscan cloister. The castle itself consists of a nice terrace with a view of the city and a tower with art exhibition.

Il castello è sempre un posto magico nel quale recarsi. Abbiamo deciso di goderci una passeggiata fino al castello partendo da piazza Cima e percorrendo la strada che si svolge sul fianco della collina di Conegliano fino ad arrivare in cima. La strada è alberata e si sta al fresco d'estate. Una volta arrivati nel piazzale del Castello ci siam presi un bel gelato al bar ed abbiam fatto una camminata nel giardino.

Il panorama è una meraviglia, sempre. La vista delle colline a 360' riempie gli occhi ed il cuore, c'è anche un ottimo ristorante con bar all'aperto. ed un interessante museo :-)

Per me, nato e vissuto per molto a Conegliano, il "castel" è più un simbolo che altro; negli anni ho fatto migliaia di chilometri per vedere chiese castelli palazzi ma questo, per affetto,non lo voglio giudicare. In effetti è rimasta solo la torre di guardia e un muro di cinta, ma comunque si riesce ad intuire come doveva essere potente e come i Veneziani non siano mai riusciti a prenderlo. Vale la pena di salire da Piazza Cima a piedi e godersi il panorama che si svolge pian piano, fin su nel piazzale; qui nelle giornate limpide con un buon cannocchiale vedi i vaporetti di Venezia (del resto il castello di Conegliano è la prima cosa che Galileo Galilei da Venezia ha visto col suo cannocchiale..) Buona visita

L'ambiente del castello è notevole, permette una panoramica dell'intera zona eccellente, ci sono ampi spazi per sedersi, e possono trovare agio anche i bambini, grazie ad ampi spazi.Anche il giardino è interessante,l'unica pecca è il museo all'interno della torre che efffettivamente non ha nulla da mostrare, di rilevante.
