This imposing Gothic building is the largest in Verona.

Overwhelming in its size and decorations from some very famous artists. The ceiling is especially interesting.

Beautiful church built at the height of italian gothic, and as it couldn't be otherwise, highly decorated with statuary and the most amazing floral motifs that cover the whole of the vault. Well worth the visit

Another fantastic and unmissable church of Verona, the St. Anastasia unfortunately like many churches of the city it has a small fee applied just to get in, I think it is a wrong policy and quite meaningless, churches must be free admission and not gain money on faith. However obviously inside are kept beautiful artworks.

Beautiful art. Strong impact. We got out of the rain and stayed dry. Built in the 1400's but they added a computer light and sound system.

Take an hour (or 2) of your day and visit this lovely Church (largest in Verona). 2.5 EURO to enter and they give you a brochure describing the history of many of the altars, statues, etc.Be sure to go into the private prayer room to the back left as you walk towards the main altar.

One of the many beautiful churches in Verona. Get the Verona Card or the 4-church pass and check it out!

We where very impressed about style, colors, and ... sounds. By chance we attended a rehearsal of a concert for voice and organ. We could not leave the atmosphere!

Loved the art and architecture, and acoustics during mass. The Christmas Nativity scene was very touching, and I appreciated the opportunity to donate to their missions. Especially the adorable young girl scouts outside.

It may look less interesting from the outside than San Zeno or the Duomo, and the Pisanello St George may be the listed attraction of this church, but there is plenty more to see, from the flowery ceilings to a masterwork in terra cotta in the Pellegrini Chapel and the hunchback statues holding the stoups. Well worth a visit.

The outside isn't much to look at, but the inside is fantastic! This ranked as my favorite church, only bested by St. Peter's Basilica, but still number one for atmosphere. There was a man playing popular songs on the organ and no "photo police," in fact the girls in the office said flash was not a problem (I still didn't use it). The flooring is original and still beautiful. There are many chapels to see, with famous works of art and sculpture. Our favorites were the Holy water hunchbacks. Local lore has it that if you touch their "hump" they will bring you good luck. We paid 12 Euros to enter (family of 4, kids 7 and 13) and spent another 8 Euros on lighting candles. Walking around this church felt more like being in a revered museum, light and warm fuzzy feelings. There were no "flash" police. People were respectful. Voices were kept low, but people were free to express, unlike the Sistine Chapel where the biggest noise makers are the "shushers" constantly barking at the crowd and pushing people along...This place is classy.

A very lovely church and because it was Christmas everything in the city looked beautiful. The architecture and art work were well worth seeing

Sant'Anastasia is another Italian church which exterior shouldn't stop you as it is rather common, and once inside, you may see the beauty of its art. It has lots of frescoes, sculptures, and works of art to see. I highly recommend to do the tour of the four churches of Verona! they are really worth it (special price if you buy the grouped ticked).

The only way you get to enjoy this church without paying is to go to Mass on Christmas Day and you get everything for free and your heart comes out the door singing. What a magical experience to go into this church and hear its acoustics. The choir and the music was devine. You should not have to pay to enter any church and in Verona they charge you to go I to most of them.Churches are for the people.
