A beautiful medieval village located in the rolling hills of Emiglia-Romagna. Several cafes and restaurants to accommodate every budget. Local wines can be enjoyed here, and enhance the enjoyment of the amazing scenery. Around every corner of the winding cobble-stoned streets are little shops to tempt the traveller. Up in the piazza are several bars, cafes and restaurants serving wine, snacks or beautiful meals. Definitely worth a visit!

Still not so wellknown, the village is an ancient medieval center laid on a hill. Carachteristic hostess and beaufiul buildings will wellcome you. Take some time to explore the beautiful Romanic church and its hidden frescoes and the palazzo ducale and its art exhibitions

...and surrounded by wineyards.My wife's great-grandfather was born in Castell'Arquato. We organized a visit to the place and we were 19 people who were dazzled by the beauty of the place. Castell' Arquato has less than 5,000 people but it's really worth visiting. The square, the council, the fortress and the church are the places to visit. We didn't stay at Castell' Arquato, but there's a hotel named Lion d' oro. There's also a museum of natural history.We had lunch at a wonderful restaurant, Trattoria del Voltone, where the caramelle pasta was unforgettable. Buy salamis from the salami shop!!!There are festivals all year long, so I recommend to check in the town's website before going. /we missed the wine festival for a couple of days) It's a wondeful tourist attraction which I really recommend. It's not far from the boring Autostrada and it's worth stopping at, A film named Ladyhawk, starrying Michelle Pfeifer and Mathew Broderick was shot at Castell' Arquato.

What a great side trip. On our way back from Venice we stopped for lunch and a tour of this town. Truly a great place to visit. The castle is worth the 4 Euro entry cost. Climb to the top to enjoy views of the valley below. If you are looking for local flavor, many of the food stores are happy to make recommendations.

It was great to stroll around the town, with it's castle, the park, an old church, well preserved houses. The view from the tower was great.

We were recommended to go to this castle, as it was the best in the area, and legitimately OLD, with a real Medieval town built into it's sides and history. We also walked up the hill, and could have driven, but we didn't know how to do that. It was a rich find though, at the top, with an old cloister frilled with holy old things, a very old Gothic church that was begin in the 700s, still in use. The choir was practicing when we were there.Lots of restaurants around and not a lot of people. It was a really nice place to go and spend several hours.

Bellissimo borgo nei primi colli piacentini sopra Fiorenzuola. Avendo visto anche altri borghi facenti parte, come questo dei Borghi più belli d'Italia, devo fare un piccolo appunto, che non mi fa esprimere un giudizio di cinque pallini, ma che spero possa essere migliorativo. Certi punti del borgo non sono proprio tenuti al massimo, inoltre la nota veramente negativa è che in pieno centro, facciano passare le automobili, una cosa assolutamente inaudita! Quando sarebbe meglio, visto che si raggiunge il tutto, camminando benissimo, andare a piedi. Difatti, nel retro della splendida chiesa duecentesca, non ho potuto fare foto, a causa delle numerose auto parcheggiate. Anche come locali dove mangiare, devo dire che me ne aspettavo di più. Comunque un borgo che consiglio assolutamente, ma a piedi!

Uno dei borghi più autentici e affascinanti della provincia di Piacenza. Un piacere da visitiare soprattutto a piedi. Molti musei interessanti!

Bellissimo borgo tutto da vedere e perdersi tra i suoi vicoli. Rocca imponente, inserita tra i castelli del ducato di Parma e Piacenza. Trovarsi nella piazzetta da cui si erge la Rocca, il municipio e la Colleggiata fa tornare indietro nel tempo. Bellissimo.

Il borgo é davvero molto caratteristico un vero salto nel medioevo, e la tranquillitá regna.Peccato per le numerose auto parcheggiate ovunque, e che transitano nei borghetti.

Sembra di tuffarsi in epoche lontane quando questo borgo, tenuto benissimo, era un riferimento per tutta la zona. Bello fare una passeggiata all'interno per scoprire i vicoletti e i dettagli ristrutturati tutti benissimo. Molto bella anche la vista sulla vallata che il Castello domina.

È un bellissimo borgo, ben tenuto. Vale assolutamente fare una passeggiata tra le viuzze ed arrampicarsi fino alla Rocca da cui si può ammirare un bellissimo panorama. Affascinante!

Ti trovi catapultato nel medioevo, i palazzi, le strade, le chiese tutto ti porta indietro nel tempo.E' un posto molto affascinante, a dimensione d'uomo, molto piacevole, da godere passeggiando ed andando a visitare la Collegiata con il chiostro, il Torrione Farnese.Da non dimenticare la cucina del territorio, ottima!E da Castell'Arquato in pochi minuti si arriva a Vigoleno, un altro posto tra i borghi ed i castelli di Piacenza e Parma da non perdere, un gioiello architettonico!

Nient'altro da aggiungere è un borgo bellissimo e molto ben conservato... Da visitare assolutamente!
