It did not quite catch me at first, but after few turns, it got really interesting and fascinating. It is very unique natural reservation, even in such area as the Karlovy Vary region. The tour would take you about one hour, but you should not want to rush through there. The information panels there are very interesting, unfortunately, they are written just in czech and german, not in english. The downside of the place is the fee, which is absolutely unnecessary. You pay for the entry to all of the exhibitions there, so not only for the tour in nature reserve, but also for two museums and zoo station. The problem is, both the museums are pointless, there are just stuffed birds or fake dinosaurs and in the so called zoo you can find just a bunch of pidgeons and two owls.

Nature reserve with a small instructional walkway. Bubbling mud and sometimes landscape as the moon. Interesting, but short trip.

I have been there in on afternoon, it was a really nice walk, where I learned some new information. There is an exhibition of prehistoric animals. We went for a 20 minutes ride in old mining train, what was very good fol children and very interesting for parents.

Remainings of the volcanic activity, which is giving a water to the spas nearby, also created SOOS - natural reserve with Moffets - sources of CO2, bubbling through the water and mud. Due to its specific conditions, you find there a special kind of landscape with animals and plants you don't find anywhere else in Czech.Great place to visit with children, there is also old mine train now carrying tourists on a short track.

Poprvé jsme spatřili zemské vulkány a zajímavou faunu a floru. Dostupné krásnou projížďkou od hotelu Zátiší na kole.

Болото с бурлящими холодными источниками. Повсюду запах сероводорода. В сентябре с лесу растёт много красивых грибов. Пейзажи необычные. Ходить по заповеднику можно только по дорожкам.Около входа в заповедник есть парковка.

Очень необычное место! Парковка есть. Есть пару музеев с археологическими находками и животными. Вход платный. По заповеднику стоит идти только по тропе из досок, сходить с нее строго запрещено. В заповеднике очень много грибов. Встречаются бурлящие источники. Пахнет сероводородом. Марсианские пейзажи.

Soetwas haben wir noch nie gesehen. es ist schon etwas unheimlich aber sehr interessant ein solches seltenes Naturschauspiel zusehen. Leider ist die Ausschilderung und Hinweise das es ein solch grandioses naturerlebniss zu sehen gibt sind sehr dürftig

Wir haben einen Tagesausflug nach Franzensbad gemacht und waren auch hier. Dieses Naturschutzgebiet ist wirklich sehr schön u.v.a. interessant. Es ist ruhig und man kann neben schönen Landschaften auch Quellen und sog. Mofetten sehen. Ein guter Ausgleich zu all den Leuten in den Kurbädern.

Признаться, ожидал бОльшего. Может, кого-то, кто ни разу болота не видел, здешние виды и впечатлят, не знаю. Но по мне, так ради нескольких вяло булькающих холодных источников и несильного запаха серы ехать сюда, да ещё и платить деньги за вход, не стОит точно. Конечно, я понимаю, что место это уникально для Чехии и пол своей геологии, и по флоре/фауне, возможно, но для неспециалиста выглядит всё это совершенно не впечатляюще, а точнее - откровенно скучно.

Toto místo mohu jen doporučit, přibližně hodinová procházky unikátním územím s mnoha jezítky a bahenními sopkami. Uvidíte vyschlé jezero, rašeliniště i močály.

Sehr interessanter Naturlehrpfad mit Quellen, kleinen Geysiren und Salzfeldern. Ein toller Einblick ins Leben im Moor.

Wer sich für Moor und Natur interessiert ist hier gut aufgehoben.Netter Spaziergang. Stege führen durch die Moorlandschaft, die wohl der Mondoberfläche sehr ähnlich ist.

Het SOOS is sinds 1964 een beschermd natuurgebied van totaal 221 ha. en ligt 3 km ten zuidwesten van Frantiskovy Lasné . Het gebied is rijk aan geneeskrachtige bronnen en gassen die destijds vooral gebruikt werden in de kuuroorden Karlovy Vary, Frantiskovy Lasné,, Marianske Lazné etc. Het ligt in West-Bohemen Door het hele gebied ruik je de natuurlijke gassen en zie je deze opborrelen uit de aarde . Aangezien het gebied moerassig is loopt men voor een groot deel op houten vlonders. Sinds 1964 (vóór die tijd werden de gassen en mineralen gedolven voor de kuuroorden) is het een schitterend mooi natuurgebied geworden en de moeite waard voor jong en oud om te bezoeken.
