You can go just through the castle without actual going in. Kids wouldn't stand one hour tour. The area of castle is so huge that you are amazed anyway. Continue to the top of the hill with the garden. You'll have great view of town and castle it self.
A beautiful medieval castle and the main attraction of the town. You will reach the castle by strolling the picturesque main street of the town. There is a moat with bears at the main entrance. After exploring the castle, get to the top to enjoy the beautiful views of the area!
Very interestin theater , technical marvel. Beautiful view from the top over lovely countryside.Liked whole work, nothing to dislike
My wife and I decided pretty last-minute, on the way to Prague from Slovenia, to take a detour to see the Castle and town. Both were awesome - a perfectly preserved medieval town and imposing castle overlooking it. The only disappointment was, visiting as we did in late February, both the gardens and the interior of the castle were closed. Still, we truly enjoyed strolling the town and those parts of the castle we COULD see. Well worth the trip!
The town of Cesky Krumlov and his Castle is an outstanding example of a small central European medieval town with a marvelous architectural heritage, remained intact for more centuries on the banks of Vltava river. It's a must see for everyone who travels to Czech Republic. There are also a lot of good restaurants! One of the best is Nona Gina - Italian Restaurant.
Worth the trip from Prague to see the 2nd largest castle in the Czech Republic. It is right on a river which you can kayak down but the castle is also connected to the town with plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. Great views, history, architect, etc. We took the tour and was well worth it!!
