on display! The walk along the Channel coast admiring these exquisitely shaped formations was incredible. It is really unbelievable that mother nature could create such dramatic stone sculptures and colorations. If you are in the area, this is a must see.
Striking site, peaceful and beautiful. Great walks along the shore. It is all about colors, contrasts, light and fresh winds... A must when in Brittany.
Loved the peaceful and extremely picturesque bay. The rain stayed off until we had enjoyed the delights of the restaurant. We cnnot find anything to dislike about the pretty seaside village.
This is the quintessential pink granite coast destination. Undoubtedly stunning scenery. We parked in the central area right near the beach. Parking was limited but as mentioned there is more at the port or the chemin de skevell. I would recommend taking a walk through the narrow alleyway on the northern side of the central car park around past the lifeboat station and the lighthouse then onto the main beach, around to the quieter cove and the port before returning to the centre for an ice cream. Site was busy even in late September.
Not to be missed in this part of Brittany. Great view abound and the hike is really fun. Lots od opportunities to swim along, so wear or bring your swimming suits. This combined with Ploughrescant (1hrs drive away) with Le Goffre/Castel Meur sites there, makes for a full and awesome day of driving on Brittany's coast.
We have walked here several times and I do prefer it in the autumn/winter when there are fewer people about. On the down side the wind can be rather invigorating then! We walked here in the summer and had a lovely time. Parked in the little port and followed the customs path along the coast. The dog enjoyed it and the scenery is amazing. Such fantastic rock shapes and colours.
We parked at Chemin de Skevell (around 10:30am in late August, there was still parking available) in Perros-Guirec and walked to Ploumanac'h. The Grand Site Naturel was just one of many beautiful sites on the way. We ate in Ploumanac'h at Le Mao, a good place for galettes. If you have a car, you might also enjoy seeing nearby L’ALLEE COUVERTE DE L’ILE-GRANDE and Menhir de Saint Uzec, which are both probably over 4,000 years old -- though the Menhir was Christianized more recently.
One of the most beautiful sites I've been to. Every few metres you see the lovely pink granite from a different view point and it becomes more interesting. Not a difficult walk, you can walk all the way from Ploumanac'h to Perros without too much trouble in a couple of hours. Worth visiting if in this area but as others have said, it's difficult to park. We parked at the port and walked through the town this year, it's lovely to do this as there are very nice restaurants and bars to stop for a drink!!
We saw the sight from the car window...it looked beautiful...We drove around the car park for about an hour, then gave up...If you go there...go on public transport or walk! Don't expect to be able to park in high season unless you get there before the sun is up! It's a small place, just a very small part of Perros-Guirec, but it's probably the busiest. I'd love to see it off-season. Even if we could have parked, the mass of people would have spoiled the experience I think.
on a clear day this place is just spectacular --it's just a wonderful natural beauty to get lost in--all of Ploumanac'h is beautiful --a must when you are in this region--if you only choose one place to come to then make this it
words can not do justice to the sights great the unusual formation formed by nature could not be made by man
we have travelled throughout europe and this is the most stunning coastline we have seen.we love the Algarve but this is just majestic.the walks and views are stupendos and we were so lucky with the weather, every day sunny and warm.we stayed at LE RANELLOIN camping and we very much enjoyed it there.we would say forget cornwall, too busy overpriced and full of londerners!COME HERE!
Having a holiday home in Lanmeur in Finistere driving to here is a delight. The walk is amazing, the views of the rocks and lighthouse is stunning. I would recommend anyone in Finistere or Cote D`Amour to spend some time here.
This place is amazing - nature has worked its magic here with an array of colour from the pink granite to the blue sea and sky. The coastline is beautiful. The houses here are also amazing- some have turrets and argoyles, all must have views ' to die for'! Great place to walk, but don't forget the camera.
Unearthly. You won't forget this place. 100%. Don't miss the Gustav Effel house. Try to imagine as if you were one of the homeowners happy to have beautiful houses in this place?
