This museum is great for people of all ages as there are interactive parts for children and more detailed areas for adults. The musuem does a great job explaining the region's complex history all the way through current day. Allow around 1.5 hours to experience the entire portion and make sure to get the free audio guide!

This was a great stop on our tour and was included with the pass that we bought. The museum had some great exhibits and I would recommend stopping in to enjoy all that it has to offer.

Museum houses a surprisingly nice collection and walks visitors through the history of the city, from settlement through the EU. Highlights include a fine relief map and several in-depth interactive displays. Audio guide a bit over the top in terms of enthusiasm.

We were really thrilled with this museum. Very well arranged. Strasbourg has such a complicated history, but there were beautiful displays. We used the listening guide. When you go to a spot, it starts. And if you lose interest and walk away, it stops. A very good system. HIghly recommended!

The museum showcases the local history from the Stone Ages up to WWII. Plus the audioguide provided was excellent and one of the most interactive I've seen from museums. Overall a good attraction to visit plus, I techically had the whole museum to myself as I went in the late afternoon.

This museum is really interesting and covers the history of Strasbourg through medieval times to the present day. Lots of stuff for kids to touch and very interactive, they won't be bored with this one.

This museum was quite different to the Alsatian museum with more modern displays of the past 100 years or so. the effect of wars on this part of the country was made clear and increased my understanding though it was tragic what happened to ordinary people who got caught up in the conflicts.

If you're into contemporary History, this museum will take you on the XIX and XX centuries' conflictual and constructive roller coasters.

this is a very interesting and well organized museum. The audio guide is well worth using and it's free. The exhibits are well done and there are special things for kids to touch and try such as a cannonball made of stone and a helmet. The material on the German occupations is fair and very informative.

I spent a wonderful couple of hours in this charming museum, learning about the history and lifestyle of the region. With its automated audio guide, and chronological order, I was able to gain a rich understanding of the story being told. Some items can be touched, such as the straight sided drinking stein and the armoured helmets. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This is how a museum should be done..

This modern museum I think has a good grasp on how a history museum should be done. The staff is kind and helpful. There is an audio guide that should be used and automatically activated and entering numbers is unnecessary. There is a chronological order to the presentation and it ranges from early settlements to all the political and power struggles as well as religion and life in the region. I found this museum more interesting than the Alsacian museum. There is a great presentation on the city map commissioned by the King of France. I very much this museum and felt it was not a chore to learn about the history of Alsace.

The Museum set out information in a very interesting and easy to take in way, explaining all the major events in Alsatian history. Sadly, Alsatian history isn't that interesting, but that isn't to say that the museum isn't worth a visit although maybe only if you can enter on a cheaper ticket.

We looked for, and eventually found, the museum. Strasbourg isn't strong on signs! The museum was quite good, and a very nice young male member of staff offered me his window seat when I asked to sit down. But it was spoilt somewhat for as we went round we found all the other foreign visitors were listening to audio wands in their own language. But we were not offered these when we went in. But even so, it was OK. As we went out we saw a sign saying we really should have an audio device! Bit late then!
