Sad looking reindeer, marginal Sami artifacts and historical pieces, not very impressive in any way. You can feed the reindeer some lichen for another $10. Save your $ and skip this one.
This is small but a very educational view of the natives and the way they lived. We visited the museum after our reindeer sledding.
Range of exhibits made for an interesting hour or so pottering around outside. Feeding Lichen to the Reindeer was definitely a highlight! They're immediately attracted to the food & oblivious to the antlers on their head, so you need to keep a watchful eye on them & have a wing man to lob the bag of food away from you too if things get a little hairy!!Village church situated next door is also worth popping your head into - very sweet.
The y have done a wonderful job to give a first hand experience with the Rainedear. It also provides souvenirs and exotic food in a Tepee.
The best part of the visit was to see reindeer. Apart from that there was not a lot to see although there is a shop and a small cafe
Quite expensive for what it is, but at least you are supporting the local Sami people. Really enjoyed feeding the reindeer.
We went here after a reindeer trip at the ice hotel and it was very interesting but we were so cold after the trek we probably didn't look round it as much as we could have
Opened My Eyes And Mind To The Indigenous Sami People, These are the people who did not get mentioned U till we discovered the at the Reinder Ranch, born and bread not settlers but indigenous, original inhabitants , the museum opens their world and ways to us. A must visit 45 minutes well spent visit
Get close and personal to reindeers-once you've fed them, they'll be off!! Lady in the shop is very helpful and is knowledgeable about the Sami way of life.
I guess this might be more fun in summer. It being open air it was very cold. Interesting though. We didn't try the cafe. Enjoyed feeding the reindeer, but watch out for the antlers.
was closed when we were there and looked pretty pants anyway, didnt really understand it. it just looked like someones house with a few sculptures outside. Like someones best attempt at a tourist attraction
When you stay in a warm toerist hotel you should inform yourself how people managed to survive and enjoy their hard lives in the cold. Combine with a reindeer rally! They really want to run! You may easely fall off! Friendly people.
Nice and interesting but a bit small compared to the price for the entrance, it expleins rather well the husbandry of the reindeers in northern Sweden but there is not much to see
This is part of the excursions the hotel provides which you have to pay for. Sit about 10 people in a sleigh being pulled by a snowmobile. Little huts here. Informative.
Good trip not far from ice hotel ,walk in about 20 mins, loved feeding the reindeer very good.not a lot to do after but you could see the way the people had to live in tepees and the way they survived in such hard conditions.
