freddie mercury memorial

It is really not an attraction but nevertheless it is a nice monument/memorial on the shore of Lake Geneva. Nice spot to take a picture and remember a great artist.

Like many other travellers have said its a statue, I can appriciate it for a moment or two and take a picture but I wouldn't travel to Montreux just to see it. the view is the real scene Stealer here, its magnificent and the mountains look surreal, come to Montreux for that!

Yes, there is a statue of Freddie but your in the city of Montreux on Lake Geneva! Take the stroll around the lake, stop and have a glass of wine at one of the many restaurants/hotels. Also, we decided to take the boat excursion around the lake with several stops. What an enjoyable afternoon!

Remembering him as a great artist. Nice pilgrimage. The show must go on as some said. This statue is a great landmark of Montreux with a nice view on the Lake of Geneva and also the Alps.One can sometimes see the touching messages that people leave on the statue.

A nice statue of the great Fredie Mercury. Placed infront of the lake Leman he looks like alive. If you plan to visit Montreux have to see it! No words!

Just a statue - but you should see it when you are a fan of Queen / Freddie Mercury. Located at an exposed place in the park, view of Lake Geneva and the Alps in the background.

If you're a Queen fan this is a pilgrimage you must do. To see Freddie's statue is a must, take in the view of the lake and listen to "A Winter's Tale" of "It's a Beautiful Day" from the Made in Heaven album. It's quite touching.

Not completely sure why this is considered as a review-worthy "landmark" but here we go. It's a statue. It's black. It's Freddy Mercury. It's a statue. He was Queen's flamboyant singer. He faces the lake. It's a statue. Nothing bad about it - but If you come to Montreux just for this, you need to get a life.

Had to do a 'selfie' in front of the memorial - even though it was snowing. One of the highlights of Montreux!

If you love Queen music, you'll certainly enjoy the Freddie Mercury statue & Queen studio. It's next to lake Geneva & is walkable distance from the train station

In a beuatiful Place in Montreux, Freddy raises his arm facing the lake. People left flowers and candles, take pictures and look for other statues near this famous one. The sunset is a great time to come and visit.

Stood beside the statue on New years eve to watch the fireworks across the lake. Also visited it during the Christmas markets that were one in December. Truly great statue, showing him in a great pose. Great performer and singer, well worth the travel to pay respects to him

Statue on the lakefront promenade. Is what it is, if you want to see it or are a fan its worth going, otherwise its just a statue

Visited during Christmas Markets. Statue in really good area with great view. Nice tribute to him. Statue is huge and overlooks Lake Leman in Montreux.

The stature memorial of Freddie Mercury looks out on Lake Geneva.Many people leave flowers and take pictures there. The plaque has a information about him that I did not know before and found interesting.
