维尔纽斯老城不大,而且最大的广场并不是在老城中心,不用花多久的时间就可以把它走完了老城有许多漂亮的建筑、教堂,有些看起来很老旧,都是有丰富的历史建议可以花一天去细细品味老城的美。
After having visited Riga and Tallinn, I can definitely say that Vilnius has the best old town of these 3 Baltic Capital cities. It is simply cute, elegant, easy to walk and a stunning architecture....the fact that everything is not fully restored makes it even more attractive.Vilnius, please don;t chance !
Vilnius is a wonderful city! The 360° view from the castle is amazing! I advice to visit it in summer, very green and pleasant!
The old town is absolutely stunning with a small town charm. I especially loved all of the cathedrals. I spent an entire day exploring the Old Town.
Just wander the streets of Old Town, weaving through the narrow streets and historic buildings. Notice the names of the streets which tell some of the history- Plies g.- Castle Street, Žydu g- Jewish Street, etc. Many quaint restaurants are tucked away in hidden passages. Find buildings which have not been updated from the Soviet period and those which are tastefully modernized. Notice the buildings built during the Soviet period.
The area is pedestrianized which makes it easy to walk through. It has numerous religious buildings all equally worth a visit. plenty of cheap coffee shops too along the route to rest in and rejuvenate.
The old town is a collection of old streets and interesting buildings dominated by many Russian Orthodox churches with beautiful interiors and artefacts on display. By contrast the cathedral was less ornate but no less spectacular. There are some buildings in need of repair but plenty to see and do from museums to excellent restaurants all of which are reasonably priced. Getting around is easy you can walk everywhere but a euro buys a bus ride across town. Well worth a visit
The old town especially leading to the republic is absolutely beautiful. Try the free walking tour for a wealth of information. Remember no drinking of alcohol in public......
one of the prettiest town in Europe. not crowded like Prague or Brussels. small city, wonderful people and great food. Highly recommend visiting
very cosy city center and well-groomed historical town, friendly peoples, interesting buildings and good restaurants
amazing; the biggest one in an Europe; one style; a lot of hidden places; especially nice at autumn time.
Most older cities in northern Europe have an "Old Town". Many are very polished playgrounds. Vilnius's Old Town is not. It is a living, breathing Old Town in which people actually live and work. The sidewalk on Subaciaus has needed replacement for as long as I have lived here, but everything one needs can be found within walking distance. Excellent restaurants, decent live music events, public fairs. groceries.
Vilnius Old Town is the city center of Vilnius - it's cozy streets to walk on foot. It offers nice architecture, many cafes, bars, interesting and friendly people. It takes couple of hours to get around the old town.
It's pretty nice, the streets are narrow, and the buildings are quite old. It has a lot of churches, but not that many authentical buildings. Some of the buildings were damaged during the Soviet occupation, and never restored. The Old Town began recovering quite recently. Overall nice, but not mind-blowing.
Possible without car, only walk. Good bars, restaurants. Europen modern hotels. Good value for money.
