Särkänniemi is one of the biggest amusement parks in Finland. It offers plenty of fun for whole family. Must visit place during summer.

Not much to add to the title. It´s a fun fair. It has the typical fun fair attractions, but with a very expensive price. A lot of things much better to do in Tampere

It's fun and good variety. Problem is that they try to rob people all money they can. Place itself is fun and interesting and families with kids will love the place. However grown ups can enjoy the park too.You can eat snacks and have a coffee. All together its a basic good place to have fun.

It's difficult for me to rate the entire park, since I have only been to the observation tower (Nasinneula). But there is no seperate page for the tower. I would have loved to go to the park but strangely it closes after August. This september was a lovely sunny month, they could have stayed open, but sadly they didn't. The tower itself was very nice. It's 5 euros to go up to the observation deck. Your ticket it valid the entire day so you can come back in the evening and watch the city by night. The tower gives you a great view over the city and lakes, I would recommand going here. There is a small cafe on the same floor as the observation deck, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee (of great Finnish ice cream) whilst looking over the city. What was disappointing for me was all the hand and fingerprints on the glass, therefore it was not possible to make take good pictures. Another slight disappointment is that it is difficult to see the city and its lights at night from the tower. The lights in the tower are very bright which makes it difficult to look outside. It would have been nicer if they turned off the lights or at least dimmed them.

Now that there is no longer that stupid entry fee to the area, families can really go and enjoy all the nice experiences in the fun park, theme parks, zoo, aquarium, planetarium and of course the upper deck views from the observation tower. Good selection of different types of restaurants available.

This is a great adventure park for the whole family. Not only providing traditional amusement park facilities, but also a planerarium, delfinarium, aquarium, and pet animal section. Not to forget the highest peak in the Nordic Countries with awesome views over two lakes and this hospitable beautiful small town. Nowadays offers free entry, but everything else is under fee.

Nice adventure park in Tampere Finland, which is open during summer (also some activities during winter). Free access inside the park, but all the activities need tickets. Also parking costs about 10 eur/day. Särkänniemi offers something from small kids to adults, and it usually takes the whole day to have fun :)

Firstly it did seem expensive - second only to Disneyland in our experience but if you go for a full day and you're all into rides the day passes probably make sense (although still did have to pay extra for the donkey ride!). Planetarium was good (although Finns got a calm sounding lady doing the voice yet English headphones version had some brash "wooooaaah dude" american kid shouting and screaming in our ears). All in all a nice 60s (I'm guessing) amusement park that has fun things but not quite the preservation and celebration of design as Copenhagen's Tivoli, say. The observation tower restaurant is a must though - by far the best food we've had in Tampere after eight visits to the city - 65 euros for a four course tasting menu which compared to usual Finland restaurant prices (and standards) seemed pretty reasonable all while revolving over the sea and park at sunset. Can't recommend it highly enough!

This is quite nice and much larger than linanmaki in Helsinki. As others said, you better bring your own food because it is painfully expensive and inedible too! In case you plan to go directly to the park, please consider that the lockers at the entrance are quite small and your hand pack or luggage won't fit.My kids aged 5 and 6 loved it and they have been around the block (which includes eurodisney).

The area is good. not too big and not too small (like Linnanmäki) and some cool stuff for all ages and customers (including nutcases).Did not like the price for "admittance to all rides" as it was 185 eur for 5 persons, although admittance to the are is free and you can boy separate tickets for single rides.

so i grew up 30minutes from Disneyland and 1 hour from 6flags, which makes me jaded on all other amusement parks. for finland and finns this place is great. there is however a dolphin tank and although not SeaWorld its impressive that its here in finland and the show aint too shabby.

It was a warm, busy day when I visited here with my partner. We only had to wait maybe 15 at max in the lines though so that was very good. Loved all the rides, the main coaster especially. The food here was crazy expensive and I was very glad we packed sandwiches. The entrance is perhaps a little expensive, we were only there a half day 11.30-3 as I had a plan to catch and we had already been to every area of the park and ridden on all the "big-kid rides" bar one. I guess i'm just used to parks with a bit more WOW, but even Tivoli Gardens, arguably one of the most famous parks in the world is only slightly more expensive. But this is Finland and it is a great park. I loved Koiramakki and I imagine the kids would love it even more! Definitely go up the tower, impressive views over the city and out onto the lakes.

I have had the possibility to visited Sarkanniemi couple of times. I like it because it has a lot of ground space and you can have nice little walks around the area. It also includes quite a lot of different venues like restaurants, machines and lookout spots. The prices are a bit high and i recommend buying the all day ticket. Visiting one attraction cost us 10€ person. I haven´t had the chance to visit any Adventure parks besides in Finland. So i can't really compare this to any other country but if you are traveling to Finland and visiting Tampere this is a must. I think its the best adventure park in Finland!

I was really impressed, we were three adults, a 4yo, & 6yo. All the amenities were clean and modern, the rides were well maintained, excellent fun with some serious g forces on offer, very nice staff (the 5th star was for the brilliant staff) Something for everyone to do and the food options were good as well, not cheap but much better than what you normally get at this type of venue (we ate at the mid hill brgr place). I'm ashamed to admit but we also saw the dolphin show (Blackfish in my mind) but have to say the animals looked amazingly healthy and sleek and truly loved, they were very impressive as well. As a last note people have obviously thought about how to move a large number of people quickly, the wait times were good (not long)

Alton Towers (smaller but great roller coasters and other rides) no more than a 5 min queue on anything. We did go on a Monday but it is was also summer holiday in Finland so we were expecting mayhem. Only thing is, none of the rides opened till 12 noon but we still made the most of the 7om last ride. By the end of the day, we could stay on the roller coaster if we wanted to and go round and round. Great day out with 32 people.
