Well-presented racecourse with range of restaurants, betting places and other facilities. All staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially when new to betting. Excellent day out!

I visited on New Years Day with friends and had a great day! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Despite the horrible weather there was great atmosphere and every one seemed to be enjoying their day as much as we all did. I would recommend it for a fun day out!

Great day had by all the family.Managed to get a table in the marquee and could see the track from there. Opted to head outside to watch the race.Bar inside marquee had decent selection of drinks, had to pay city centre prices for drink but was expected.Good selections for places to eat and plenty of clean wash rooms.Staff where friendly and helpful. Day was made better by picking a few winners.My first time at Musselburgh races and will definitely be back.

25 years ago Musselburgh Racecourse was a dilapidating Victorian ruin. Thanks to huge investment even those who pay the lowest entry have more comfort for refreshment than the members, owners and trainers bar provided all those years ago!Full colour, very handily sized and detailed racecards are available for £2.50 on entry.Those opting for the cheapest entry can enjoy the new Pavilion for refreshment, complete with seating, tables and a monitor showing action from the course. All liquid refreshments, hot and cold available, either for sitting in or taking into the fresh air.Should anyone wish to dine at the course, there is perhaps the most impressive new facility to enjoy, the Bistro, reviews for which you can view specifically elsewhere on Tripadvisor. The food is superb, and service is of equal quality. It gets busy as the card goes on, so it is best to book an early table. Don't worry, there are monitors to view your interest run in an early race over your meal.If you wish to pay extra for a day member's pass, are a trainer or perhaps even own a runner, you can enjoy a new, permament marquee exclusive to such patrons. If you are splashing out the Queen's Stand will provide top class comfort and a fantastic view overlooking the racecourse, with the winning post in closest proximity.I have visited every racecourse in Scotland except Hamilton, both as on a day member's entry, and on the cheapest ticket. Will I return to Musselburgh? You bet! Next time I'll be paying for a member's day entry. I can ten enjoy that member's marquee. Maybe one day the Queen's Stand also ...

Musselburgh racecourse is a fantastic venue. I have attended a few meetings this year and thoroughly enjoy the day out.The facilities are spotless.We sampled food in the Bistro, we were served quickly and the staff were very nice.Excellent Day out racing.

Went to the racecourse yesterday. I found the staff friendly and you get a decent view of each race from the stands which is helped even more by the big screen in the middle of the course. The only downside was paying £13 for a very average steak pie and chips in the Bistro but that would not put me off going again.

good day out and al ways a date for kids as well.you can get a very nice meal here. also snacks.no dislikes really

Had a great day out here at this tiny racecourse. Was the family day so lots of families though they mainly stayed in one area. Good selection of bars mostly reasonably prices (I spent the day drinking from the Pimms bar with drinks priced between £3-£5) and some really great food vans on site - the pizza was fab and the soups sounded delicious. The competition with for prizes with your losing bet ticket made losing fun. Would definitely come back here.

Lots of fun. Bet with the local bookies on the track apron. Excellent bar service and just a nicely appointed place for an early evening of fun at the track.

If you are in the Edinburgh area on a race day this is a must to visit. Try to book a table in the on-site Epperston Suite restaurant, you get a table upstairs, overlooking the winning post and if you have lunch you keep the table all afternoon. The food is first-class and the staff are friendly and helpful. Not to be missed!!

would recommend a visit to this course as very relaxed atmosphere. Weather was great and a few winners also help
