Wow, went here last night with a group of friends to see "Spiders on Mars" a David Bowie tribute band. Had a great night the band was fantastic. What a great place felt very comfortable in it. Very well organised, staff were very friendly. Hope to visit again, great place.
As an independent safety inspector I am often concerned at establishment personnel that ignore free advice. The stairs in this building are extremely steep and quite often the patrons miss their footing. When they do lose their footing they stretch out for the row barrier in the hope that they can catch themselves. Unfortunately I have mentioned several times that some of the endcaps that people grab are loose but no joy in carrying out repairs. Perhaps they will wait for an accident before they act. On a recent visit to the premises the chairs I was allocated were also loose. Knowing the lack of response I got for verbally reporting the endcaps I decided to report in writing. I reported the problem and was told that the seats were OK. Again poor management practices will undoubtedly mean that someone will eventually be injured. I hope they sue them.
Used to take my 2 sons on xmas eve many moons ago and last night we took our 2 year old granson for his first panto and what a night. Booing the baddie, look out behind you, severe over acting, oh yes it is, oh no its not, terrible jokes. 5 young actors whipping children into a frenzy, adults laughing, a night of great old fashioned family entertainment.Add this to reasonably priced toys and refreshments (flashy toys from £1.50, large wine and a WKD £6) great priced tickets £30 for 4 including booking. Thankyou for a brilliant night,We will be back again next year.
love cumbernauld theater, seen a lot of different things through the years here but it feels personal as its a smaller audience. would highly recommend every one to see at least one show and see what they think.
We live locally and try to support the theatre on a regular basis. We particularly enjoy the live music shows. Would also recommend Ballet West - a Scottish ballet company which visits once a year. Comfortable lounge with good service
Stayed for only half performance of Xmas panto Good enough cast and storyline but could have been stepped up considerably by the addition of some music Nice modern building festively decorated with cosy bar A bit out off the beaten track
I should say initially I am not a fan of the pantomime. At pantomime at a local theatre is usually worse, at least the big theatres may attract a "d" list star. However, I have an eight year old son who wanted to go and it is Christmas so I stumped up the money and went. And I am so glad I did. This was a fantastic evening and a great production. Basically 5 young people, (early 20's at best), three girls and two boys , take you through 10 fairy tales on the Night before Christmas, and they make a fantastic job of it. You will laugh, you will cry, you will even be a bit scared but whatever the emotion this is worth a visit. I am thinking of going back!
I stopped at the Cumbernauld Theatre on a tour of Europe to see The Noizy Indie Social Club put on a show with some amazing Scottish bands. The theatre itself has a very nostalgic feel and presented an incredible atmosphere for a multiple band show. The staff was more than welcoming and made my experience something I will never forget. If I ever make it to the area again I would love to checkout some of the other entertainment they have to offer at this wonderful theatre.
have visited CUIMBERNAULD THEATRE MANY TIMES it has a wide range of types of performances because it is a small theatre you have a close friendly experiance wiyh the audience
Took my 82nd year old mum to the theatre on Saturday 6th October to see Frank Holden also known as Frank Sinatra. I was pleasently surprised. firstly that i knew all the songs, and secondly that he had a 5 piece band with him. I just love a live saxaphone. i thought it would be a guy singing with backing music I could not have been more wrong. Frank was very good and did not try to be Frank S, but he put his on slant on the music. My mum throughly enjoyed her night. and I look forward to the pantomine on christmas eve. Booking tickets was not easy by phone as there was no one there even at the times advertised, and on line was not much better as you could not choose your own seats only had the allocated. over all a very good night.
