We see every show that is on during our time in Scotland, September time. The shows/plays follow each other, different every night each week and people visit Pitlochry simply to go to the theatre; there are hotels that cater just for theatre goers. Back to the heading. The theatre is an amazing place. You can visit almost anytime of day and get a snack and beverages or book dinner whether or not one is seeing a play AND the Theatre shop is amazing. I buy all my gifts there because there is such a choice. The meals we have had there have been very good indeed. Even though it is pre-theatre, there never seems to be any rush at all. Very well trained friendly staff look after everyone, and after a relaxing time in the bar, everyone goes in dinner at the same time. Very well done indeed. There is a super menu that "matches" each play and the menus are made to look like theatre programmes. Very well done. Good idea.Excellent bar team.
Went specially to Pitlochry to see a performance of Rapunzel! It was a modern ballet with superb athleticism by the key performers! Music was quite outstanding! Use of local children fired family interests. All in all it was most enjoyable
Thank you for your review.Winter Words really is a fantastic festival at a time of year when we all just want to cosy up with a good read on those cold, dark nights.Hope you can visit us again soon.
Thank you for your review.I can let you in to a little secret... White Christmas is returning this year and promises to be even more spectacular!!We will try our best to arrange a bit more snow for you this year ;-)

Thank you so much for your review. The theatre really is an attraction in its' own right with people visiting, not only for the performances, but also to enjoy the food, shop, gallery or just to soak up those wonderful views. So glad you enjoyed your visit and hiope you can visit us again soon.
Many thanks for taking the time to write a review and we really appreciate your positive comments on our production of Miracle on 34th Street during December, our best attended Christmas show to date. I am sorry to hear of your experiences following the production on the 13 December. We do our upmost to ensure the safety of our audiences and routinely salt the public walkways and the carpark as best we can during inclement weather. Our campus is extensive and sudden changes in the temperature, as there were in December, can mean that areas freeze before we have had a chance to salt them . We have salt bins located around our campus, including in the carpark, so I am disappointed if you did not receive a high level of customer service when you expressed your concern. We will address this issue with our Front of House staff through our training programme. I am pleased to hear that you made it to your car safely and look forward to seeing you again for another production at Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
We visit the theatre a couple of times a year from Edinburgh and have never been disappointed with any of the productions. Miracle on 34th Street was fab! The tickets are very well priced and the auditorium offers great views of the stage wherever you are sitting. Looking forward to our next visit!
We travelled all the way from Derbyshire especially to see Miracle on 34th Street, as a friend of ours was in the production. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and also the pre theatre dinner in their restaurant. With tasty food, and a festive atmosphere in the restaurant we were very happy that we had booked for dinner. There are good comfortable seats in the auditorium and high production values went into the very enjoyable musical. Meeting up with our friend afterwards, made it a perfect short break, and only sorry that Pitlochry is so far away as we would certainly visit more often.
Great theatre - all seats have great stage view and every performance we've been to has been of the highest standard. Even to a full house, you can get to the bar and toilets during the interval!
Our first visit to this amazing small theatre. Family of four with two young boys. Went to see Miracle on 34th Street. Outstanding show. Cast, music, scenery, lighting, sound were all fab. Comfortable too. Very reasonable for a family ticket. A great night out and we can't wait to go back.
We visited Pitlochry to see Miracle on 34th Street. A great musical performance with some catchy tunes as well as enough dialogue to make it enjoyable for those not as into musicals. We had dinner in the restaurant beforehand, which I didn't feel was as good as the previous year but the service was good.
I did not visit last summer due to other commitments, however I will be coming up to the theatre at the end of march to hear Tommy smith, 27/28 of march to hear classic Clapton by after midnight followed by frank and ella, then hotel California on april 2nd.Also in the summer in July, I will be coming up for "a little night music", alan aykbourne and the importance of being ernest in mid july.
We were in Pitlochry for a couple of days and on the second day the weather was pretty bad so we opted to go to the Xmas Matinee. We were pleasantly surprised as to how comfortable the theatre was a how well the production went with great and flexible stage settings. A wonderful Holiday experience!
We visited for the first time on 6th Dec, it was my birthday and we had booked tickets for the Miracle on 34th St show. We decided to book a pre theatre meal also. The staff were very efficient, and attentive. The food was fantastic, and we shared a lovely bottle of wine. The show was first class and we will definitely be back.
