A great place to walk. ride and get a lovely coffee/lunch after. Easy to get to and plenty to see and do. You are able to hire cycles and they have different events on like a farmers market and painting for sale. A great place to visit and to enjoy.

Go here most weekends for lunch and a nice walk with the family! The service is excellent and the food great!! Would highly recommend!! We will continue to go regularly as its great for thr kids and has amazing friendly staff! Danielle and jack

Busy lunchtime during half term. The only table was by a fire door, unfortunately it transpired that despite the inclement weather, people were using the door frequently to access the outside, resulting in a cold wind every time making it an uncomfortable experience. Chairs hard...Food freshly cooked. Unfortunately for the 2nd week running the locally sourced beefburger wasn't available. I ordered a mozzarella and grilled pepper pannini which consisted of a part cooked Bagette filled with a mix of peppers including green which are only really good served raw as cooked they can be bitter. The chips I upgraded to for 99p were fresh and crisp.

Food was good, we had a private room for my friends 70th birthday. was so nice to be in the country, and have a lovely walk as well. beautiful place tro visit.

I visited the centre due to business and found the place quite pleasing but the food was expensive. The overall ambience was an ok experience.

I was told by a friend about the Farmers Market held here monthly and wanted to visit yesterday. It was cold but not wet. After the market, where lots of friendly traders were selling their wares, we went into the Visitor Centre. The receptionist was very helpful, and we took away a map for a future visit, as we were not suitably booted for a walk around. The gift shop is well stocked and the cafe/restaurant looked tempting, but not for us today. I intend to tell my friends about this lovely place. Looking forward to bird watching there in the not too distant future. You will have to pay to do the walk, which includes a map.

The food is good, I good selection, would prefer to have the choice of whether is not to have dressing on my salad, as it came with it, and I'm not keen so I think perhaps they should advertise the salad is dressed so people have the choice to ask for it without, needs a little more organisation as there was a big queue and the service was quite slow, so for the busy summer months coming up I hope they get that sorted, having said all that the setting is stunning, the walks and bike rides are great so will more than likely visit again, facilities are good too, good but there are some improvements that would make it better.

We went to the Forest Centre to hopefully take photographs of the wildlife. The staff on the reception were very helpful and gave us a map and directions to the lakeside hide. It was sunny to begin with although bitterley cold and unfortunately there was not alot of bird life on the lake. The hide was excellent and very spacious but we didn't stay too long as it was too cold. We will definitely return when it is a little warmer!! The paths are very well layed out and you could easily spend a few hours walking through the park. There is a shop with a good variety of gifts and a spacious restaurant. Well worth a visit.

great place for family walks with the dog, nice café/restaurant, toilet facilities, great little gift shop, local artists paintings to buy, great family fun!!

lovely family park to relax and spend a few hours. quite, largely unspoilt park with easy access to walks. The lake is beautiful, take a walk around and see the wildlife.

We held my daughter's wedding here and we were blessed with a wonderfully sunny day in May with fabulous views across the lake. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they kept me calm (I was making the speech and a tad nervous) and just made sure everything ran smoothly. Thank you so much to the staff and I would recommend this venue to anyone else considering a location for their wedding

We are glad that you enjoy visiting the Centre, however we were very shocked to hear that you believe that the chicken baguette you purchased here in July gave you food poisoning – if you had made us aware at the time, we obviously would’ve conducted a full investigation into the incident. We have a 5 star hygiene rating and have never had a reported case of food poisoning in the 15 years that we’ve been open. A nice area to visit plenty of nice walks the cafe had brilliant cakes and ice cream plenty of Bird life and basking lizards and frogs Even a spot of tree planting

Lovely cafe/restaurant with great amenities and reasonably priced gifts to buy and that was before the walk! Surfaced pathways or off the beaten track the choice is yours in this haven for wildlife. I'd recommend the figure of 8 round the lakes especially at this time of year as it's totally hard surfaced and very well sign posted. A great afternoon out.
