If you enjoy surfing, Zurriola is one of the best urban surf spots I have ever surfed. In Summer it can get crowded, but other than that, the waves are nice, the water is extremely clean and everything is right in the middle of the city!!!
Beautiful views from the beach. Water is cold to Mediterranean standards but amazing. People are really friendly
This is the best place to surf in San Sebastain. Just across the beach is Pukas Surf Eskola, where you can learn to catch your first wave.
This beach is wild! Strong waves breaking on the pier, good waves for surfing at most times and a more intimate atmosphere then La Concha, as if it was a miniature of it. I loved It! And super clean.
I'm aware that I may be doing this beach a disservice as i visited it in winter during a period of foul weather so it's perhaps hard to judge. However, it was a little more exposed to the elements than La Concha and it's seas were considerably rougher and therefore during the time i visited had far less people using it's facilities. That said, everything appeared to be pristine and clean but it lacked the atmosphere generated by public use for me and the bars, cafes and restaurants aren't in as close a proximity as it's more popular and larger sister beach, La Concha. Definitely worthy of further investigation in the Summer though!
they have lots of sand, toilets are a wee bit far when your drinking on the beach, otherwise highly recommended for people watching
This beach is just breathtaking and has a great atmosphere. Good for couples, families, friends, anything!
Clean sand, plenty of space, easily accessible, and wonderful views. Good surf conditions on most days.
I did not venture into the water. it was very rough with a lot of waves. this beach is more surfer friendly. however the view, location and beach were clean and i did get a great tan while on this beach.
Very fun to watch, we like it more than La Concha. Surfers, funny dogs, less crowded. You could spend couple of hours here, watching at everything.
This beach is my preferred beach in San Sebastian as the surf is much better. The sand is soft and clean, the beach smaller, less people but still has adjacent restaurants and cycle/walking paths. I observed the younger crowd i.e. teens, surfers, etc frequent this beach more than La Concha.
Not bad surf on its day and a lot more sand than the other beaches at high tide, so not a scamble to get a spot. Plenty of cafes and board hire shops nearby.
Preferred this beach to la Concha . More space , more people to look at !. Lots of surfers , felt more like Bondi beach than north Spain . Also had lunch ver looking the beach , great for people watching .
We stayed in an apartment near here, so when the weather was sunny we headed down here late afternoon. At the Kursal end it was great for swimming,as the waves were gentle, the sea was clear with no weed or jelly fish. It was never too crowded to find a spot to put our towels down.
This beach is great. It has fine sand. It is deep and wide. It has waves and surfing. It is a gorgeous beach.
