I do not golf but this park has a wonderful course. You drive beside it on the way to the camp sites. There seems to be two groups of sites -- we used the lower number sites and the camp host allowed us to use a disabled site close to the washroom facilities. I think I saw four of these sites and they are well set up for wheelchairs. Concrete flat pads, extra wide and close to washroom. Most of the rest of the sites seemed to be in a circle with no water view. As it fell below freezing during the night I appreciated the warm washroom. We arrived after hours but had an easy check in at Ranger station the next morning. Station has a few supplies and souvenirs for sale. Not too far north of Atlanta. 20% Seniors Discount (age 62+).

We went to Victoria Bryant state park to hike on New Years day! Great, peaceful trails. They even go by a little river!

A group of our friends camp together a few times a year. This fall we went to Victoria Bryant State Park near Royston GA. This is not a big campground, but it is a hidden treasure in NE GA. The campground was very clean with spacious spots for Rv's and motor homes. The campground host were super in our area. The park has two ponds, swimming, a golf course, shelters for groups to eat, and many other amenities.Royston is nearby in case you forgot something. This is one of the best state parks we have been to.

We recently spent a weekend camping at Victoria Bryant State Park. I probably haven't camped in 20 years, and we had an amazing time at this park. It's an easy and short drive from Atlanta (even with traffic!) but still feels like you're "getting away".We used one of the eight spacious "walk in" campsites--each is outfitted with a covered wooden platform for the tent, a picnic table, and fire pit as well as electrical outlets and a tap for water. The sites were very clean and well maintained, as was the bath house just a short walk away. Firewood is available for a small fee at the camp host home. For activities there are some easy hiking trails, some small lakes where you can fish (poles available for free at the park but have to purchase a fishing license online), a playground, an archery course and golf course. The park also had several activities planned--geocaching and guest speakers were two of the things going on while we were there. Additionally, there are conveniences within a short drive, such as a grocery store, gas station and restaurants, in case you need to grab a bite or stock up.We're very amateur campers and found our weekend at Victoria Bryant to be a relaxing and enjoyable getaway from Atlanta. We look forward to visiting again!

Victoria Bryant is one of our family's favorite parks. The campground is incredibly clean and well maintained. Most sites are paved with pea-gravel (plentiful) and a couple of them are concrete. We've never used the tent sites, but they look awesome because the tent sites are covered with a tin roof, housed in a wooden deck. The upper campground (for RVs) has a sand volleyball court (lighted at night), horse-shoes, covered pavilion (ceiling fans/rocking chairs) - picnic tables and large group fire pit. The road runs through the river and kids (and adults) LOVE driving through it in the car (it's a few inches deep). There's nice picnic tables along the river, which is very wooded and shady. The park also has a pool (in season). A unique feature is the park ranger station sells ice (upper campground).

We had a great weekend. We walked the trails, hubby played golf. The campsite we chose was the most level campsite we have ever had and a lot of the other campers that we met said the same thing. The camp host Elise and Dick were great, they have so many activities for children that we will take our granddaughter with us next time. This is the 5th GA state park that we have stayed in and one of the best.

My family and I live in south Georgia near the Okefenokee swamp, where the land is flat and the landscape consists of mile after mile of pinetrees. I crave north Georgia for it's beauty and Victoria Bryant State Park fulfilled my needs. We caught bream at the pond near the park entrance, played in Rice creek, hiked the perimeter trail, played tetherball, and of course enjoyed a campfire under the stars. The water/electric sites were in excellent condition and the park ranger and camp host were extremely helpful and kind. The Highland Walk golf course was challenging and just as beautiful as the neighboring state park. I always look forward to my stays at the Georgia State Parks in north Georgia and can't wait for my next trip!

This is a beautiful park located in the rolling foothills of the Appalachians in northeast Georgia. Its only a few minutes from "downtown" Royston but otherwise kind of in the middle of nowhere.Given its proximity to cow pastures I was mildly surprised to find the large stream (small river) running through the park, complete with shoals and rocks for the kids to play on. There are several playgrounds and several miles of good (though not strenuous) hiking trails, as well. The golf course also looks challenging and well-maintained, though I haven't played it yet.We camped here in our travel trailer... the sites are huge (easily accommodate big rigs) and level gravel lots. One of the loops has several sites situated around a main pavilion area complete with fire pit, volleyball court, etc. Great arrangement for big groups, families with kids, etc.Definitely a nice place, we'll be back.

Great Park for camping or just a day visit. Good hiking, good facilities and very friendly staff. We had a blast and are ready to go back. Platform camping was great.

This is a great park, it has a lot of different elevations. We went group hiking and enjoyed the different elevations. It was about a 5 mile hike. There was an option of the 8 mile which we preferred but we're over ruled by the group to go the 5. Some were unable but would have allowed for additional scenery. This trail didn't have much visually but on this one it pays to go with a group. Well kept facility and they offered camping gear and park t-shirts for sale. Great park and hike facility. I'm sure it had a lot of wonderful areas to see but we weren't able to cover quite as much. I would travel again.

We stopped by here on our way back South for a geocache. As we were navigating to where we thought we may be closer to the cache we got to a road where it felt as though you were driving off a cliff. We retreated back to the visitors center and decided to try this another trip. Pretty park though, with a nice playground.

This is a beautiful course wrapped in the mountains of Georgia ... this is a tough course with big elevation changes and blind shots everywhere, probably not a good course for the high handicapper -- still, it's a blast to play and the beauty runs rampant...

Victoria is one of our favorite parks. It has a lot of hiking trails which we thoroughly enjoy. We take our great dane and he approves also. They have a trail that follows the river which we haven't explored very far but we will eventually. The picnic tables are on the river bank and the kids like the playground.

The river is going dry because of the drought. Hopefully when we get more water it will get back to its glory.

We have camped at Victoria Bryant twice, the campground is wonderful, super clean restrooms, friendly attendants, great place for kids to bring bikes and easily be able to keep an eye on them. Volleyball pit in center of campground circle is great too......like a giant sandbox for the little ones. Awesome picnic sites down by the creek and fun rock water slides for kids of all ages! Highly recommend camping here!
