This farm is a well run, fun place to visit whether you are picking spring strawberries, summer blueberries , delicious blackberries or going to the fall corn maze and pumpkin patch. Your family is going to have lots of fun. They do such a great job!
Actually went to the field in Grayson (which is not listed on TripAdvisor) but its the same idea. Pick a giant tub of strawberries for $12. Add a dollar for the tub, but you can bring it back and use it next time. The strawberries are juicy, sweet and straight from the patch to your sink to your mouth - so you can't get any fresher than that. We ate strawberries all day today. I can tell that this will now be an annual springtime event.
$12 a head gets you and the kids in for an all inclusive afternoon (little ones get a discount). There are 2 corn maxes, pig races, a rubber ducky race (where you work the water pump to make it go), cow train, "punkin chunkin", corn blaster, (you get 1 free turn per pass and can buy extra at 3 for $1 on the "punkin chunkin" and corn blasters), a vortex tunnel, pedal cars, trike races, playgrounds, petting zoo, 3 inflatable jumpies, a hayride to and from the festivities and a corn pit (imagine a ball pit or an overlarge sandbox full of kernels of corn). The pumpkins were reasonably priced. They had food available for purchase and the junk food was kettle corn, cotton candy and homemade strawberry ice cream. There were a lot of people there but there was enough to do that there really was never a wait.
They have different events throughout the year; corn maze, strawberry and blueberry pickin in spring and fall. Little kids will enjoy the most. Berrys are pretty good
A great place to pick fresh strawberries. It's also our favorite place for getting pumpkins at Halloween. Our children are older, but they do have hay rides and corn mazes. They're packed in October! Plenty of parking! Prices are ok.
When the weather starts to warm up this is one place my family always goes to stock up on strawberries and blueberries (have not done the blackberries, but I am sure they are delicious).Strawwberries (plan for 20-40 minutes per bucket)If you come with kids let them roam a bit, but watch for over consumption! Even after asking them to only eat one or two strawberries they just cannot stop once they get a couple in their mouths. I don't blame them, and we usually keep the piles in our buckets lower due to how much our children eat. Blueberries (plan for 40-60 minutes per bucket)Depending on your level of scrutiny, picking blueberries can take a long time. A couple of tips:- Reach into the inner most branches, often people pluck off the outside and there are large groups of very ripe berries buried in the middle.- Go low: similar to the previous tip, people often forget to pluck off of the bottom branches due to the inaccessibility. Take a knee and find some of the juiciest berries remaining on the plants.- Wear sunscreen/a hat & bring water. It can get extremely hot and you are going to want some protection, as well as a way to quench your thirst.
Great Strawberries you can pick and make Jams, cakes and eat plain. Store bought strawberries don't even come close to these here at the farm
I think my three year old would live there if I let her. So many fun activities! The corn maze was super fun and love that we could choose the level of difficulty. Kettle corn was awesome! Hours of great, family entertainment!
It was a great place for a family outing and for teenagers, which is hard to find! Lots to do and were run.
Lots for your money, great place to go a on school field trip, nice clean place, very helpful workers, bring a lunch, loved completing the corn maze at night.
Pumpkins and strawberry season are wonderful. Good quality. All the kid activities can get expensive.
If you buy what they pick the strawberries are nice but what we had to pick was full of bug holes and not nice at all. Very disappointed as we had picked there a few times in the past and they were nice but this time they were not worth the trip or the money.
Took the kids out pick blueberries last year and had a blast. Fruit is always delicious. It's a great way to get outside.
Come October we always drive here for their corn mazes and activities. We stay here all day into the evening when we can roast marshmellows over a fire. Lots of teenagers come out at night so beware : ). Lots of other activities during the year depending on the season. I just go in October or November.
Great for picking your own produce like strawberries and pumpkins. Can be a little pricey.
