Just wish that they still had it open so that you could go swimming there again. As kids, our parents took us there on a weekly basis.

I swam here as a kid 45+ years ago. It's sad to see it in ruin. Someone has done a lot to preserve what the flood of 1994 didn't ruin but hardly anything to see unless you have memories of the past here. I really enjoyed coming back to this place, took a lot of pictures, and told lots of stories.

Spent many years here in my youth. Although beautiful, wish that it could be set up for swimming again.

This is an interesting place to visit. It reminds you of days gone by. There is markers telling of it years ago. Make sure and go when the water level is up. Otherwise you won't see the blue radium water. It's peaceful and well maintained. It has limited hours so check before you go.

Lived in Albany for my first 18yrs but never saw the springs til now. The park is lovely & would be a great picture spot or wedding location. I recall stories of the clear waters & casino (which is now gone due to fire & flood). The springs water during our visit were very overgrown with plant life except for the source which was clear & blue. Area is shaded & would make for a quiet picnic break stop but bring bug spray. Bathrooms are clean, but no AC

This is worth seeing, but don't make a special trip. The water is crystal clear and nice to see. The pictures and stories of the old casino and resort are interesting. We have brought out-of-town visitor here, and they agree it is nice to see. But, there just is not that mush to it. Go if you are close.Oh, it's free - so in that regard, it's a good thing.

This Garden gets more beautiful each year. It's center piece is the gorgeous and historic Radium Springs. It is a place of importance in native American history in the area and is thought to have been one of the places visited by De Soto in his search for the fountain of youth. It has been the center of Albany history since the towns inception; many of us swam there in our youth proof enough it was not the Fountain of Youth, but, beautiful none the less.

Radium Springs Gardens is a peaceful park on the sight of a former restaurant (which for some reason was called a "casino") and right on the Flint River and an undergroudn spring. It is an officially desingated wildlife viewing area, although I have not seen much wildlife there. It is very peaceful and almost surreal, with the glow of the water and the trees stadning in the river at the overlook. Worth a visit!

Once a Casino and thought to have healing properties, gone are the lively carpet, blinking machines and sounds of coins dropping but what remains is worth taking in. There is a low lying cypress swamp, a large spring with terraced gardens around it and a beautiful park with plenty of trails. While the spring contains trace amounts of a radioactive material - Radium it is interesting to see. This is an ideal setting for a wedding, a picnic or a day with the family where you enjoy the outdoors.
