Really don't care for the food at the Shrine! They need to up their game....won't be back! Clean up your buffet ...dump the old food and use all new everyday! Gross...

During our evening visit we drove through the Shrine and were captivated by the Nativity scenes, displays and Christmas Spirit. The grotto, indoor Christmas tree displays and gift shop were also eye-openers… a wonderful visit!

The Shrine is a beautiful peaceful place to spend some calming time. They have a wonderful gift shop where you will find lovely Christian items at a reasonable price and a great onsite restaurant. The church and grotto are are lovely places of worship.

My family and I went for brunch for a birthday celebration. The buffet is wonderful and the service is excellent. They go above and beyond for their service. They have many different options for the buffet as well.

The Shrine is a beautiful, natural place that pays tribute to faith. Outdoor cathedral, grotto, and very special experiences. During November/December the "Way of Lights" is spectacular. A drive through depiction of The Christmas Story and the birth of Christ. Beautiful! On site restaurant and motel. 20 minuets from downtown St Louis.

I went in February and I want to go back in summer when its green. A very nice place to get back to the basics in life,

My family and I come back year after year. It's so beautiful, with a wonderful message. Laser show, and camel rides are offered for a small fee. Be prepared for long lines off the highway during peak holiday days. A donation is accepted at the end of the display, but you don't have to if you don't have it. Will continue to come back.

We were visiting family in the area who took us through the "Way of Lights" Christmas Display. We did it as a drive through. It was incredible. The displays were tasteful, made up of mostly white lights, but with touches of colored lights where they would enhance the displays. The true meaning of Christmas was evident throughout the displays. I could go through this again and again and appreciate it more each time. Unfortunately, we are from out of the area, so we got to see it just once. There was no charge to drive through the display, although we were more than happy to give a donation at the end. We didn't know it as we donated, but we received a souvenir stuffed dog as a momento of the lights - a sweet touch.

Christmas Lights galore! Our Lady of Snow puts on a spectacular Christmas light display with a mile-and-a-half drive with over one million lights electro-art displays and life-size biblical statues which take you on a scriptural Journey to Bethlehem. There is also a laser show for a small fee which we didn't do as it was raining that night.Lights aren't the only thing to see. Inside the visitor's center is a room with trees decorated by area businesses, children's room with activities for kids, and much more. To get a full idea of how much there is to see and do go to http://www.wayoflights.orgYou can also eat in the restaurant. We opted for the buffet at $15 per person to make it easy. I was not impressed with the majority of the food for the price. Definitely cafeteria type food; not very flavorful. The wild rice chicken soup was made with plain ordinary white rice, maybe even Minute Rice. Baked chicken did not have much taste but the beef was tasty. Perhaps the pasta station made up for it but the line was so long we didn't partake. Desserts didn't seem to be anything special.Definitely a family holiday outing not to miss. I'd go again for the lights and activities but will probably not eat in the restaurant again.

You could walk through or drive through. We drove. Architectural design of buildings here was awesome. The landscape was also beautiful. We were here during the day and only had a short period of time to visit. Best time to visit is at NIGHT during the Christmas season. They light the grounds up with millions of lights and the Christmas story. Sure wish we could have stuck around and seen it after dark. I know it just has to be beautiful (The Way of the Lights). The weather was wet and cold but we still enjoyed the scenery from the comfort of our car. There is NO charge for driving through or for walking through. It is FREE. They have a cafe, a gift shop, and a motel here as well. We didn't go inside any of those, but they seemed to be busy.

The shrine is beautiful at any time of the year, but especially at Christmas. You can drive the way of lights. If you go hungry the buffet in the restaurant is wonderful.

We visited the Way of Lights Christmas light show - it is an outdoor drive-through attraction that tells the story of the birth of Christ. Beautiful! There is no admission charge for the drive-thru but they do ask for a donation at the end. We gave $20 and received a stuff animal. I think there is a minimum donation amount to get the toy, but I'm not sure. We also had dinner there - it was a buffet and while not as extensive of a selection, it was all very fresh and good! It is certainly worth the short drive across the river!

A Trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows is a family tradition for as long as I can remember. Of course we make the slow drive through the light display which illuminates the story of Jesus' birth as our savior. The inside of the shrine is the most overlooked gem of the visit. The Christmas tree display from around the world is a reminder of the diversity of our traditions and dinner at the restaurant is a great cap to the night. I hope your family has a chance to make it out and remember "The Reason for the Season." Truly a great start to the Christmas season.

If you can make it to see the Way Of Lights at Christmas time, definitely go see the display. Its amazing! Take the kids and see the awesome light displays.

This is a lovely place to visit or attend mass. The grounds are beautiful throughout the year, and the Way of Lights around Christmas is great.
