knoch knolls nature center

My kids and I decided to visit this free nature center to get out of the house on a cold winter day and it was NOT worth it. There is a small aquarium inside the center and that's it. The other rooms inside are devoted to preschool. The outside grounds have a unique park suitable for ages 8 and under. Nice plush surface area for little feet. There seems to be nice trails to explore...Knoch Knolls is a good place for a picnic on a nice WARM day. We will come back...but not until the weather is decent since the center itself is not visitor-friendly. The Little Red School House is a better "nature center" to visit (it's in Palos Hills, IL).
