drift-in

We visit Anna Maria Island often but had never had the pleasure of a night in the Drift Inn before this time. A large group of us from the UK came to celebrate a 50th birthday. After an alcohol fuelled meal we were all having such a good time we weren't ready to head home. The drift in was a perfect place to continue out evening!Everyone was so welcoming and the atmosphere was amazing. It's so rare these days to find a place where everyone is having a good time and happy to be there!We will certainly be visiting again.

Friendly but way too smokey, no ventilation I came out choking on all the smoke inside. Good value & is for locals.

Good old bar, smoky ,loud and crowded. The kinda place to go for kicks to have a few beers late. Band played old 60's rock and roll.Lots of locals. Just fun and casual.

We were there several times in the past 5 days. We enjoyed every visit on Bridge St.. My friends & I took the time to understand the local tradition of this place & the people on Bridge St YES it isnt THE CLEANEST PLACE, YES it kinda SMELLS like SMOKE, YES it is LOUD & SMALL when a BAND PLAYS ..... IT HAD SEX APPEAL - WE LOVED IT .... I'LL BE BACK No food servied order in from OMA's or cross the street to the Bridge Tender Inn ( they are both awesome )

well first off DRIFT INN is not a restaurant! It is the neighborhood bar, and we love it.I have met people from all over the world who have visited the DRIFT. It is very friendly, drinks are reasonable, and the bartenders exceptional,I really don't know how they do it,the place is always busy. They have music ,karakoke and a jukebox.If you are done eating at one of are restaurants,stop by the DRIFT,its quite an experience!!

This is great place to check out for the local scene and vibe. Nothing fancy but a great atmosphere with cheap drinks, happy hour and some of the best characters in town. Local music and dancing fun. Day I was there bartender brought free pizzas for patrons.

Had a fun hour listening to the band....good music. We were told it is only for local people though...and were told by a few different people. Fortunately we were with a local and all was fine.

This is a locals place, you can still smoke inside...it's a 'real' dive bar, and it's cheap and dirty, but you will have a good time if you want escape the tourists.

It's your average hole in the wall bar. If you are drunk it's fun, if you are sober then it's kinda dirty and annoying with a lot of drunk people. I think that's a fair assessment- the bartender is fun, she sings and dances while working. Oh and it's very smokey in there!!!

We call it the Fun Bar!!! For Happy Hour, it is the place to go. Friendly people from all over and all ages. And, great prices.

Best little bar, casual drinking hole on the island, great group of locals, and staff, also vacationers, stopped in for a cool one( 4 ladies} had great time, and so will you!!!!!!!

Yes it is smokey, smells. Bathroom, I used it but don't remember. Its a bar, good music, lively, everyone is having fun and boozing it up. Thats what bars do. I was feeling pretty good when I arrived and the atmosphere was keeping the momentum. If you do not like dives, dont come here. If you want to listen to music, get drunk for cheap and smoke a few cigs and love good dives, drift on in.

If you are looking for a yuppie hang out, pass this by. This is a true old school "beach" bar. If you go at 8am or at 8pm you will probably see the same patrons on the same bar stools. A smokey haunt so if you don't want smokey atmosphere of an old fashioned bar, stay away. Great service, very good prices, and you will certainly meet some characters. sometimes there is some live (or semi live) music at night. also a modest package store.......if you want a treat without any tricks, check out this place. It is NOT a restaurant....just a bar!

Yuck and Run. This place people looked like the bar from the movie StarWars except worse. The place was dirty, the drink cups were served with dirty water. We walked out after about one minute. RUN.

If you could get rid of the cigarette smoke this is a fun bar. Lots of friendly locals. Little bit older crowd we were were there.
