Awesome place to visit. Has a lot of exhibits outlining special operations and featuring the equipment used in those missions. Boats from the Vietnam era to Black Hawk helicopters - Makes me proud to be an American!
For $8, this is good value and certainly worth visiting if you have any interest in history and brave Navy SEALsThere's quite a lot of building work, but they are good enough to give a voucher for a return visit
I was visiting with relatives and we had a dreary day. My family member suggested the museum. It turned out to be a great decision. There was a lot of history dating back to the 1940's. Lots of artifacts. A relative of a seal would've been so proud to visit this attraction. There are exhibits outside as well. A whole new section is under construction that will add to their history. My favorite exhibit was the diorama of the Bin Laden compound.
I'm not a history buff but my husband and our friends are. We all loved it. For me especially seeing the real life Maersk Alabama lifeboat that Capt. Phillips was held hostage in by the Somalians was very moving. And the pieces from the World Trade Center, a mockup of Bin Laden's compound, so many pieces of memorabilia and equipment from WWII. A Blackhawk, many boats and subs. Worth a trip, only $8 admission was a reasonable fee. Don't forget your camera (I did).
Everyone should go there. It's a beautiful tribute to our SEALS both past and present and those aspiring to be. It will give you goosebumps and a feeling of pride in the USA and what our Navy SEALS are protecting.
Spent 2 hr at this museum. Very interesting! They are expanding and will improve their exhibits in the next 6 months! Will go back next yr to see the improvements. The outdoor exhibits are interesting. Thank you to all the Seals and other men and women that support them. May God Bless you and keep you safe.
Loved the museum. The narrator was very knowledgeable and learn a great deal of the history of the Navy Seals (AKA frogmen WWII) have some very unique artifacts and displays that you can go through and explore
I am a history buff. I love America. I appreciate what the men who are Seals do for we common citizens of this country.Due to the very short history of the Seals and their clandestine duties how can you display much about their wonders. Accordingly, the museum is a big letdown. Yes, there are displays about the history of SCUBA gear. There's is a very brief recognition display of some Medal of Honor Winners Out in the open spaces there are different training pieces and vehicles which to be honest are not breathtaking to view. Inside there is a black hawk helicopter which is amazing to see it's size. Captain Phillip's rescue pod. Yet, these intriguing items are not presented in a way in which you can appreciate their significance they are pressed against a wall, slipped in corner. You can't walk around them. They deserve a grander display with more detailed explanation of the parts of the vessels. What the heck, you got something good....Flaunt it!All in all a sad presentation of what true American heroes have done.
Very good display of Navy Seal equipment and history. Reasonable priced and worth visiting. It would be especially educational for students.
It wasn't until our 3rd visit to Fort Pierce that we finally made our way to the Navy Seal Museum - not sure why. My kids (age 4 and 7) really enjoyed climbing on board all of the vehicles and training equipment outside the museum and the rest of us gained a greater appreciation for the Navy Seals. Plan to spend about 2 hours to see and take in everything.
Loved it! Except that they had construction going on when there ( they did give free admission for another visit) but won't be here!! Much better than expected!
We found the SEAL museum by accident on our drive north. We didn't have much time but were able to explore all the boats they have on display outside. Very cool. It was fun to watch the SEAL film they were playing on one of the boats. The obstacle course looked like a fun thing to try but I was wearing flip flops. Next time!We will definitely go back to see what they have inside the next time we are in the area. Thank you to our service men and women!
Really great exhibit! Enjoyed it totally. Great descriptions, lots of equipment to view, history of SEALS very impressive. Will recommend to others.
During our recent vacation in Florida, my wife and I had the opportunity to visit the Navy Seal museum. Those who designed the museum did a great job in paying tribute to Seals. We were both impressed with the actual items on display and not replicas. The museum recognizes the Seals from World War II through Korea,Vietnam and Iraq and Afghanistan. It is well worth visiting.
We went here for the kids. It is only 4 bucks so it was worth it. It had many of the local creatures in their habitat. They had several experienced people to ask questions. They even had a touch tank. I got a manicure done by some shrimp. My kids enjoyed it, and so did I.
