Wife and I are vacationing in Key Largo and drove up to play a round. We are both single digit handicaps for a reference of our knowledge to rate a course This was the closest course to us so we gave it a go. Paid $40 ea to play. Not sure of what old prices were the previous review referred to but $40 is kinda high for this course but it is the only one around. Not a bad layout and conditions were acceptable. It is simply another old time golf club trying to make it in today's economy. Greens had some issues but actually rolled pretty good. We will come back for couple more rounds because it was fun course to play and the staff was very nice. Played 12/12/14
they have raised prices but not the quality of the course. they have set the bar very low. currentmanagement is trying to take advantage of being the only course in the area. there are much better courses in the Miami area. prepare to be disappointed. all the facilities are dirtynot up to country club standards.
This course is fun to get out and practice on. It's usually quiet and very inexpensive to play on. The staff are friendly and facility is in pretty good shape. As for the course itself, it's not one of the best out there. The grass can be a little on the "hmm" side. However, it's playable. Definitely get out there and have a round. It's designed well to make it a pretty challenging course.
I enjoyed my golfing experience at Redland Golf course. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was in good shape. We enjoyed lunch and finished up the back nine. It was a fun course.
We joined the Redland Golf Club while we were in Florida from January through March of 2014. The staff was phynonamal. We want to thank Dave and Jan, Jen, Bruce, Derek and the rest of the pro shop employee's, and waitresses/barmaids. They treated us with top notch professionalism. They gave us a big welcome. The course was in excellent condition and beautiful. We had a great time and will miss you all. The restaurant served excellent food at a very resonable price. We plan on returning the Winter of 2015 and looking forward to seeing everyone again. Thank you, again. Mike and Delores
I have played at Redland Golf club for the past 9 years when I go to visit my in-laws in Florida. It is a very nice golf course (No Hills!) and fun to play. The owners have always kept the course in great shape and it is nice. Nothing fancy but just a good golf course. Nothing hard but does require some good placement shots. Not expensive and worth the money to go play. Give it a try the next time you are in Homestead, Fl.
Very reasonable breakfast or lunch. I always get the Rubin Sandwich. Iam a good cook and is better than I can make
We've been there 3 times and the food has been great that we decided to make it a weekly event with 8 other people. Best place to get a Ruben sandwich!
Overall was a very nice course for the price. golf carts were awesome, quiet and plenty of room for balls, drinks and other items. Course plays rather easy if you can hit long and strait. We have always enjoyed playing here and the course is well maintained for a public course this far south in Florida. They have a restaurant to enjoy some conversation, have a cold one & some food after playing a round. You have to carry your bags from the parking lot to the cart area since carts aren't allowed in the parking lot.
The food is pretty good but the place needs to be modernized. It used to bw the place to go, now not so much. Chili is great. Bar is great.
I have been playing the Redlands off and on for several years and have found that it is probably the best Semi-Private course in the area. Mondays are very nice as this time of year you can play 18, with cart for $25.00 which is unheard of in this area. The course is in excellent condition and the carts are new electric that are very quiet. Nice lounge and the pro shop, although small, is well equiped and the staff is pleasent. Watch out for #2 and #18 as they border the driving range so if you're right you'll have a tough time fnding your ball. One of my favorite things about the course though is the fact that when you finish a hole you don't have to drive the cart 50 yards for the next tee, they're right there. Oh, and another thing, they actually have a bathroom on the course.
