Average food and service. Nothing more and nothing less. The food was okay and the service was okay, but not that great that I would go back there again.
chip rice, former chef at orange blossom in the villages, manages grill 19. the food is good, the service good, happy hour until 5. coupons in the daily sun. all you can eat spaghetti on thursday.
My husband and I "partook" of the Spruce Creek Country Club's new Sunday brunch omelet bar last Sunday. It was such a serene setting looking out on the golf course and the service was A+. The omelets were made to order and were absolutely scrumptious. The food was hot and the beverage was included with the $8.95 charge We will definitely revisit there and bring friends and family along as well.
We enjoy eating at Toppers Tavern every Thursday evening when they have live entertainment, dancing and music.
Service is good and food is improving..has had somebad reviews but is working on it...entertainment some nightsis fun
Enjoy eating here over looking the golf course. Wife loves the French onion soup. Rich and hearty. Best wings I've had around here. Fish and chips are great as well.
We visited friends to view this as a possible retirement home. the courses are good, nothing amazing but a good play. they are working at improvements as some of the holes were in need of upgrading. the community is very well maintained and has every type of recreational amenity that you could desire. the fees are fair for the services provided. the main club house has good service but the food and service could be improved upon
The food is just OK, nothing great. We have been there a few times because we live in Stonecrest. The service is poor and the food is average. We went there one Friday night for the fish fry and it was awesome. Went back a couple weeks later and the fish was greasy and smelled of old oil. We said something to our server that this fish wasn't nearly as good as we had had there before and her comment was, "Oh well, sometimes it's like that here". The sandwiches, burgers and Yuengling on draft are very good though but don't be in a hurry when you go there. The service staff act like they are doing you a favor to serve you.
Full disclosure......I've lived here since 2006 and I'm a huge fan. First of all, I haven't met anyone who has really put me off. Almost without exception the residents are very friendly and considerate. The community is physically beautiful. It's maintained immaculately.....it's almost impossible to find a piece of litter or a cigarette butt. Five days a week a large crew of management employees are hard at work pruning, cutting, trimming, painting and otherwise caring for the top-notch common areas and amenities. Secondly, the 6,000 residents are well-served by a HOA that really serves their interests. The community is on very solid financial ground and the monthly HOA dues are a laughably low $121 per month. And, for that cost everyone I know thinks we get an awful lot for our money such as 24 hour manned security at the 2 gates and constant roving security, trash and lawn debris removal services, care and maintenance of the very nice amenities and never any need for a "special assessment". I'm a very happy resident.
This community has everything a retired senior might need. Plenty of activities and friendly homeowners as neighbors, me one of them. Don't think you have to worry about the golf course as new profession golf course builders now own it and changes are being made. I've lived here 4 years now and live a life of activity and just plane fun. What else can you be looking for. . . It's got it all.Sal Bianco Jr
You need to spend some money on the course, your greens are in bad shape. "Sand" and I don't mean sanding, just sand and no grass.
