Peaceful drive, even during BikeWeek which is when I'm rating for. Don't forget the people on the roadside taking your pic as you drive by.

This is a mini-Anastasia Park. Beautiful vegetation throughout and nice campsites. Roads are bumpy and narrow, but they certainly keep the speeds down. Park is between two rivers and a short drive to Flagler or Ormond, or even Daytona. Very quiet.

We stayed at Tomoka for 5 days in February. We had tickets for the Daytona 500 and used this park as our base. It is a very short drive to the track and the beach. Grocery shopping is close by and there is a great place to buy wood just up on US1. The park is lovely. Just the drive into the park is worthwhile. The road is completely covered with hanging trees. The road leading to the campsites has a few dips but if you take it slow you will be alright. All the sites seem to be a good size with lots of privacy. Each site has a fire pit, electricity and water along with beautiful foliage. Huge motor coaches and giant 5th wheels may not fit into the sites but most would fit a 30 footer. I was impressed with the amount of washrooms for such a small park. That was great and they were always spotless. The park was very quiet at night. We really liked this park even though it was crazy cold while we were there...except for race day. I would highly recommend this park to anyone.

I was a little apprehensive after reading some negative reviews of this campground but we loved it. The sites had lots of vegetation (oranges hanging over our site) and were well separated . The dirt road gave us no problems in our 30 foot RV. The bathrooms were in excellent condition. We walked through the park to the rather dated statue of the Indian and to the boat landing. We didn't encounter any mosquitoes during our visit which was was a relief after a week in the Everglades. One of the best features for us was the proximity to other activities- the Ormond Loop, Daytona Beach, Ponce Lighthouse. The road leading to the park is part of the Ormond Loop and is a lovely drive through a canopy of trees.

We had a pleasant walk, saw two armadillos and one black snake. The Chief Tomokie's statue was interesting. A nice walk in a very pretty place.

Drive through old Florida. Beautiful scenery. Stopped at the old Sugar plantation. Must have been quite the place in its day.

Stayed here the end of Jan for two nights. Ranger was friendly and check in was fast.The road tot he campsites is dirt and yes there's a few 'dips' but thats part of the adventure (was towing a boat trailer).Campsite was clean, with bench, fire pit, electric and water. We booked site 47 and it was easy to get the trailer in. It was a busy weekend, rest rooms were cleaned regularly. However the second night it seemed some girls in a group went around and trashed them (flowers and notes, dye) for some game or something. I think the same group created quite a bit of noise but it was all quiet by quiet time. Days were gorgeous but the night were pretty cold (for us Fl people).We put the boat in at the ramp and went up the river to the river grill for lunch. Ramp was good. The camp store had quite a few provisions. We drove around the roads and the park is very well maintained and the staff were all very friendly. Bathrooms in the center of the campsites seemed newer and nicer then the ones at the bottom end. "Publix" is only 1.6 miles away but beware cause thats as the crow flies. You have to head into Ormond or up towards the interstate.Park is really nice, we are already looking to book again.. if we can find a reservation while its still cool!

Camped in a 31' Travel Trailer. Great facility, cleanest restrooms "Ever" Our site was great! The trails and views of the river were awesome. The only downer is the roads leading to the camp sites was very hard on our truck & trailer. Lots of deep holes and mud to navigate.

Close to the craziness of Ormond Beach and Daytona, this quiet getaway gives you a way to relax. We camped here many years ago and so when we needed a few nights stop on our trip, we thought of our favorite Florida State park. The campgrounds are big, but well laid out for privacy. Each site is a good size and the restrooms/showers are never too far. The trails lead through the beautiful forest to a cultural museum, picnic areas, fishing launches, and a camp shop/restaurant area. There is even entertainment, although we were not there on a night when it was available.

We spent three nights in our RV here in January. The bathrooms were spotless. The live oaks and palms lining the dirt roadways created lovely scenery and made for wonderful bike rides. Be sure and ride out to see Chief Tomokie's statue. Very cool! The campground store is not as well stocked as most, but the owners are friendly and helpful. Sunset on the Tomoka River from the camp store deck is well worth a visit!

If the laundry machines were working. If the washrooms were better laid out. If the roads were in better condition. If there were a few more trails ... Then this nice little spot could have got 4 stars.The rangers were pleasant and the canope of trees as you head into the park is really nice.I would come here again but only for a night or two.

We love picnicking there and love taking the trails for a beautiful walk. We like looking for manatees, and many times seen huge turtles in their habitat...a lovely park...

Absolutely beautiful representation of Old Florida. Water, trees, flora, fauna.Rent a boat! Fish! Hike!

What a lovely place. Lots of campers but they are not seen. It's very densely wooded. We were there near Christmas and the people who ran the little bar/cantina/marina thing put on the cutest little show! Loved it.

What a great park! We camped for 3 nights, in the chilly Florida weather. The employees were friendly and helpful. The grounds were maintained beautifully. Nice flat parking for your trailer, RV or tent. Oodles of walking trails and a long paved biking trail thru the Old Florida Jungle. Bathrooms were grade AAA!My favorite was Saturday evening at the Store/Kayak Rental/Restaurant, where the crowd was entertained by Dani on her ukelele and Bill on his guitar. Beer and wine served in a friendly atmosphere, and singing along encouraged. Pete Seegar would have been proud. Lots to do in the area so this park makes a great base for surrounding attractions, like the Ormond Historic Loop.
