A great place for conventions and shows. Clean neat and elegant. Food service varied and upscale makes you want to go there even if you have little interest in the
We were there in January for Art Palm Beach, a very good contemporary art show with galleries from all over the world. Then again in February for the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show because our gallery from Murano was showing. The convention center is a great venue since it is large and offers plenty of spaces. My only complaint is that you have to pay fro parking.
I have been there for a quilt show and Ringling Bros Circus. THe parking is decent. Like going to any convention center, be preparared to walk. It's right across the street from City Place. Mellow Mushroom is nearby.
Fabulous, like a mini Art Basel. Great variety of whimsical and serious paintings, sculpture, photography and performance art.
Everything was great, from the food at the refreshment stand, to the laout and design of the building, to the comfortable balconies and terraces when you need a break from the seminar.
I love it that you get the opportunity to showcase your business here and have the credibility of the Convention Center. Also how convenient to be next to downtown, clematis and the ocean. Very sourceful and entertaining.
Whoever comes and uses this space , has made it come alive. It is wonderful to have such a spacious facility in West Palm Beach.
Located in the heart of West Palm Beach this convention center rivals both Ft Lauderdale and Miami. Situated across from the world class City Place with its upscale restaurants shopping and theaters it's perfect for small and large events and conventions. It's also walking distance to the 24/7 fun of Clematis Street and a mile to iconic Palm Beach its pristine beaches and famous shopping on Worth Avenue. Enjoy!
The convention center is easy to find and parking is easy also. large enough to accommodate anything from home shows to volleyball tournaments. It is an easy walk to City Place.
When the convention center holds shows for the public, including art , antiques, etc. it make for an enjoyable experience. The venue is large enough to have an extensive array of products, which makes for a nice afternoon of browsing (and maybe buying). There is usually food and drink and a bar with a seating area to rest and refresh. The location is great, with City Place nearby.
They have great functions, art shows, exhibits here...in this modern, new location ....It's right across the street from Cityplace ... If it happens to be a Sunday and you don't feel like paying for parking at the convention center.. Walk across the street to cityplace...
We attended our son's graduation at the Palm Beach Country Convention Center this past week. The effort here will be to give you an unbiased view of the convention center without the emotions of experiencing one's "baby" graduating from college. That feeling would be best described in a single verb: "Yahoo!". Palm Beach County Convention Center would be best described as a classy large auditorium. It is a large warehouse type venue on a flat floor (vs arena seating) with very tall ceilings, perhaps more condusive to vendors setting up in a large area, rather than an event such as a concert or a graduation. The hallways also have extremely tall ceilings, which gives an air of grandeur. There are smaller rooms off the hallway for smaller functions. One convenience is that once inside the large auditorium there are well-marked restrooms, so one does not have to leave the auditorium for a restroom break once inside. The seating consists of folding chairs on the flat floor, with the speakers or performers on a raised stage. This concept, without stadium seating in a circle or oval, creates a situation where the speakers or performers appear very small from the middle to the back. However, large screen projectors help alleviate this some. One thing we noticed is that out of 3 iPhones taking pictures and video, most of the pictures were out of focus due to the poor lighting. We heard this voiced by others as well with recording devices other than iPhones. But other than that it was very comfortable, and all in all a wonderful experience. I don't know why we expected something "dinky" and smaller in West Palm Beach, but we were a bit surprised by the larger than expected size of the venue. There was a first at the event we attended. It was the first time in our lives that we attended an event that involved thousands, where law enforcement was not present directing traffic. This indeed caused a bottleneck and parking delays. Imagine your country fair without troopers directing the traffic and you have the picture. I saved the best for last in this review: the subtle fading in and out exterior lighted arches at night! Don't get a picture of Las Vegas here, but rather a subtle and classy, in my opinion artsy, display of lights that was very much a part of my first ever visit to West Palm Beach. Being a North Carolinian visiting West Palm Beach for the first time years ago, it was a mesmarizing experience to pull off I-95 at night onto the main street leading to the ocean, Okeechobee Boulevard. There in a short drive from the interstate to the ocean, you are met with extremely tall palm trees, a causeway across a small lake, lighted skyscrapers of downtown West Palm Beach, and a sort of hypnotic lighted from the inside out giant arches of the Palm Beach County Convention Center, that subtly changes colors. In my opinion, this subtle, yet magnificent display changes the entire nighttime experience of what could be a boring drive down any main street in the USA into a memorable experience that will remain etched into a visitor's mind. Well done West Palm Beach!
The Convention Center has something different almost every weekend. From art to RVs and home shows - there is always something going on.
We have been exhibiting at the Palm Beach Jewelry Art & Antiques Show for many years now and the Convention center is a magnificent venue. It is modern, clean and huge. A perfect place for our Show! Great staff! We always feel at home there.
Convention Hall is beautiful, great space and lighting, across the street from city place; there are no food or beverage kiosk onsite; you must cater in to receive any kind of meal or beverage; pizza pies can also be ordered! plenty of bathrooms throughout the convention
