What a great experience! In our party were a senior, a middle aged person, and 2 in their 20's and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. The hour long live animal show was fascinating - interesting - and hands on. Everyone who wanted to got to hold or pet a python, tarantula, lemur, alligator, chinchilla, and more. The grounds are unspoiled and are filled with a variety of trees and plants. The staff were friendly and helpful. When my great grandson comes to Miami we will definitely take him to Safari Edventure!
I loved every part of this experience. There are so many amazing animals and you can tell that the workers really care about the animals. Best $15 I've ever spent.
Absolutely fabulous experience! You get to interact with many animals. The handlers are friendly and accommodating. Don't miss it!
I and my friends decided to visit Safari Edventure last minute (close to their closing hour), and as we arrived we took the liberty to tour around as we like. We missed the presentation where we could have supposedly interacted with the animals, though we weren't upset, it was still a pleasant time to cruise around in this cozy environment. As closing hour impends, we were just about to leave. A friendly staff from Australia (or New Zealand) asked us if we wanted to play with the arctic wolves. It was a fantastic time to play with the vigorous little wolves, The staff (I think his name is Thomas) then casually mentioned that if we wanted, we could play with the other animals. So, just like that, we did! The other workers at the time showed us to the cage where they kept the kangaroos and we simply had a blast interacting with them. All in all, great staff, great layout, great animals and authentic zoo odours. Keep it up!
This was a family outing that proved to be a great experience for all ages. The guides were knowledgable, entertaining and interactive with the guests. This experience with hands on with animals that you would not otherwise interact with was a real memory maker. Put this on your "to-do list" of family fun!!!
Interacted with a lot of animals from alligator to boa. Hands on animal show reaLly was fun. Could go in the cages with wolves. For a good about 2 hour experience it's well worth it.
This animal sanctuary is a fantastic place to visit, but only if you can time your visit to attend one of their presentations. During the presentation, you will have the opportunity to touch all sorts of animals and one tarantula. After the presentation, the employees take groups of people into the enclosure for three arctic wolves and the enclosure for one timber wolf. Taken strictly as a zoo, this site is on the small side.
For the price and variety of animals, you cannot get it anywhere else. Not your average zoo and it's more hands-on and exotic for someone who's tired of the conventional zoos. Overall 10/10.
Absolutely fabulous experience! You get to interact with wolves, and kangaroos - as well as other animals. I usually skip presentations at places like this - but so glad I didn't this time. We got to hold snakes, pet a hedgehog, chinchilla and skunk! The handlers are friendly and accommodating. Don't miss it!
You will find the most incredible animals here that you won't see in even the best zoos in the country (we've been to them all - San Diago, NYC, Philly, Nationals Zoo, etc). You can get incredibly close to the animals, and can both pet and feed many of them (Kangaroos, Wolves!, Sloths, Marmoset, Tarantulas, Allegators, the list goes on). The shows are amazing, and staffed by really knowledgeable and entertaining guides. They went out of their way to make sure that we and our kids were able to come in contact with as many animals as possible while we were there, and were really helpful (they even gave my daughter extra batteries for her camera). The safari adventure allows children to experience the joy of interacting with animals directly. This is the way environmentalists should teach the next generation about the importance of conservation. In addition to the animals, the flora is stunning, and they have plenty of places to sit in the shade and enjoy it. The price was absolutely worthwhile for the experience. Anyone who can should go here - how often do you get to pet a kangaroo?!
We thought that we would have a good time but we ended up having an AMAZING time !!!! Great for adults and kids. So many animals to hold and touch . The staff could not have been more friendly. The admission price was beyond reasonable . We never thought that wolves could be so friendly and loving. We took lots of pictures and left with great memories.
The staff are attentive, and informative. The show is very interactive, Where else can you hold an alligator, tarantula, play with a lemur and a wolf and then finish it off by feeding a Kangaroo? Oh and they have a cell phone charging station so you can take lots of pics!
We were a group of 5 adults and one 10 year old. We had a wonderful time. It is a bit confusing pulling up to the place as it is in a very residential area with nice big gated lots. And then, there it is...It is a small park. The staff was awesome and very helpful. We ended up having our own private audience with the wolves and baby mini horse. The educational show was very informative and you get to either touch or hold the animal. The guy next to me got peed on by a lemur. Who can ask more than that? I even managed to hold a tarantula, not one of my favorite critters! Some of the park is a little run down/smaller cages. All the animals appeared to be in good health and well cared for. I also liked that you did not have to pay more to touch any of the animals. The wolf and kangaroo encounters were included as well as the educational show.
Where else could you possibly touch, hold and pet so many animals!?! Pet a sloth hold a 14 foot python, play with wolves and even feed and touch a kangaroo. So many more also. It is a non profit organization. Not commercialized at all which I think adds to the charm. Many beautiful plants to see as well as the animals. I have visited a few times and see improvements every time. The staff which is mainly volunteers have always been fantastic. Visit if you are anywhere near, it's definetly worth it!!!
This is a hard review to make. The place does good work and the employees are outstanding. The price is very reasonably priced ($12). Little kids would enjoy this more than older kids or adults. You do get to hold some animals (snake, alligator, tarantula). We saw up close a hedgehog, chinchilla, lemur, anteater, etc. We were also able to pet a wolf and a kangaroo. The place is not in the best of conditions but it is well worth the money and experience. It will only take about 2 to 2 1/2 hours to see and do everything.
