Booked the tour for my wife's birthday with Jim's sister, what a gem! she was so nice, we enjoyed our talks before and after our tour Jim great guy, obviously loves the dogs, we had a great time learned all about the dogs, their care, their backgrounds,the sled type , etc while on the trail talked about the dogs how they work on a run, then we talked about the beautiful forest and Jim's management of it and the effort he takes to manage it all plus he finds time to race! Amazing energy we will be back?

This is not an attraction, this is an adventure. I you or your kids love dogs and the "never done that" experience this is it. Well worth the drive and great views. The host Jiml was amazing giving us all the details on each and every one of his dogs. He loves them and knows each personality. What a great adventure for my daughter who is an animal lover.

I took my kids to Northern Vermont to ski and we booked a dog sledding trip at Eden Dogsledding. Everyone was really nice at this place including the woman who answered the phone when we booked. They give you lots of time to meet the dogs and then teach you how to harness the dogs.It was a bitter cold day but we were thrilled to be dashing through the beautiful woods of this pristine wilderness. If you want a special one of a kind adventure I would highly recommend this group.

I surprised my husband with a trip to Eden. We showed up a little early and were able to hang out with the dogs before the harnessing and hitching. We met some older (retired) dogs as well as some 9 month old puppies that are just learning to pull sleds.Katelyn was our tour guide and she was great - we learned a lot about sled dogs and racing.Mufasa, Waffle and Flint led the team - plus 6 of Katelyn's dogs (Gus, Corano, Alex, Violet, and Amazon).We brought ski clothes to stay warm - and were also wrapped in blankets in the sled - no issues with being cold! the ride was great - there's some gorgeous scenery up there! When we arrived back - we rewarded the dogs with treats and were rewarded with our own treats of local cookies and organic hot chocolate from the stove.I was drawn to this place because of the ethical (unchained) treatment of the dogs. They sure live the life!! They are treated with respect and dignity and as a result are incredibly sweet, well behaved and hardworking.I highly recommend a visit to Eden - you won't be disappointed!

Today was a perfect day to go on a dogsled. Lots of snow and bright sunshine. The dogs, although at first don't appear as typical sled pulling dogs, made the experience quite exciting. The dogs are friendly and we were able to interact with and get to know them before starting out. My son was able to help hitch the dogs to the sled. The ride was breathtaking and a wonderful experience for us both.

Dog and people friendly - trails are great - love hearing dogs howling - The cabins are perfect, all amenities and comfort in addition to be able to ski in and out !

We spent a wonderful day yesterday at Jim's place..meeting all the dogs and enjoying the environment. They are so well behaved and friendly. We got a chance to learn about them and then harness them ready for the run out. Although a very cold day..we were quite snug on our sleds..the views on the run were spectacular . Well worth the experience!!

Not only did Mt. Eden accommodate our large party but we got to interact with some of the friendliest dogs I've ever met. I would highly recommend the trip to anyone who would enjoy great food, friendly dogs, and the best dog sledding I've ever experienced. The crew is experienced and very warm - it was a great trip for the entire family

This was one of the best, happiest experiences of my life. Amazing people, amazing dogs, amazing home. I hope everyone's goes to visit Eden dog sledding.

Spent a fun afternoon with our guide Rodney and 9 happy dogs, gliding around snow-covered glens. The dogs have a lovely set-up, lounging around their doggie living room, with multiple sofas and dog-beds. If you've been around dogs, you know they love nothing more than hanging around in a pack. Their second favorite activity is making humans happy. So these guys get to do their favorite things all the time!The track we took had plenty of snow, even though much of the rest of the Stowe/Mt.Mansfield area is pretty barren. The ride was fast and we got some snow kicked back into our faces, but that's part of the fun. We were two to a sled, which was spare but comfortable. There are blankets to wrap up in if you haven't dressed warmly.If you like dogs, pretty scenery, quiet and the wind in your face, you'll have a great time!

This is once in a lifetime experience. Jim our tour guide is very knowledge and his dogs are not chained. Dogs love pulling the sled. Nature is also very beautiful and pictorials. I would recommend Eden dogsledding to anybody that wants to experience something new and adventurous. Sleds are very comfortable and they provide blankets so you don’t get cold. Trails that we sled through were beautiful.

This was fun... The dogs clearly enjoy it too... Jim and his dogs are amazing... These are not traditional Huskies but mixed breeds, the dogs have personality and they clearly love to run and sled... It is pretty expensive but if I'm ever in Vermont again I will try to return.Word of warning: TURN YOUR CELL PHONE OFF ROAMING... When by the pond the phone will think you are in Canada.

What great fun we had with Jim and the dogs! Its clear to see that Jim loves those dogs and they love him.When the dogs were getting hitched up to the wheeled carts they were getting so very excited because they knew what was coming! Seeing the dogs love there job made the experience even better.We took it in turns, two at a time in the carts and whilst two of us waited we were escorted around the grounds by Luna the beautiful alpha female and a couple of the younger dogs!I must admit when we first arrived it was a little daunting being amongst all these dogs and my younger son was a bit on edge but they are all great natured and by the end of the afternoon my youngest son was unhitching the dogs and playing with them as if he'd known them for ages.The UnChained Gang ( especially Peaberry - my fave)made our day and i highly recommend it!!

Jim the owner is phenomenal; friendly, personable, passionate about the experience he wants to share with people. We have been twice, once in winter and once in summer. If you love dogs then this is the place to visit for you. It was important to us when doing this activity where we find someone who treated their dogs well, like family. And that's what Jim does. He lives by his motto "ethical" dogsledding in his love and care for his dogs. You not only have a fun ride but you learn about the responsibilities of caring for the sledding dogs. The dogs are super friendly and love having visitors. A must do!

Our tour with Eden Dogsledding ( sled on wheels) exceeded my expectations. We were greeted at the visitors center by Jim and the team of huskies. After visiting the puppies we got the team ready. All of the dogs are friendly and cooperative and you could tell they are so happy and love to run. The ride itself was exciting. Jim was friendly and answered all of our questions. Since it was warm we took a break at the pond so that the dogs could cool off and have some treats. My sons loved hanging out and racing around the pond with them. When our ride was over we got to enjoy some lemonade and cookies. This was a bit of a splurge but definitely worth it. A month later, my children are still talking about the experience and remember the names of all the dogs on the team. As an animal lover, It made me so glad to see how happy the dogs are and how well they are treated. I would love to go back to Eden Dogsledding in the winter to take a ride in the snow.
