Real fun and family friendly. Singles and tandems. You can stay in the river or go out to the lake. Definitely worth it!

It is pretty much what you would expect, they had single kayaks and tandems. The singles were comfortable, and they didn't rent skirts (no need, the water was very calm). The tandems were ride on top, but overall very stable. I could have adjusted mine better, but it was a pleasant paddle. We went from the take out to Lake Erie, and far enough to see the Cleveland skyline, and back. There were sailboats and shore activities and nice houses to look at, as well as lots of boats in the marina. Nice day. Price was about 25/hr for a tandem, a little less for a single, and we were out for an hour.

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable since this was our first experience. It was fun and relaxing at the same time. We ventured towards the lake but chickened out when the waves got a bit bigger. Going back tomorrow for some more fun! ☺️

We went on a kayaking tour with them. Actually, we went on four tours, but three got rained out. The workers try very hard to keep everyone safe and dont take any unnecessary risks. They are easy to talk to. Dont forget to leave your jewelry at home and bring bug spray!!

My husband and I enjoyed a tranquil sojourn on the Rocky River in a kayak. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive. We recommend this experience highly!

I rented from the Rocky River spot and took a guided tour in the harbor Downtown. The staff were very knowledgeable about the city, the nature, and the equipment. This is one of the best ways to see the city or to see the Rocky River and the Lake in that area. Every Clevelander should do this as a sense of civic duty.

Last month, my son and I tried a sunset tour. This was a Father's Day present, and when my son told me about it, I have to admit I was skeptical. We have kayaked the Gulf Coast of Florida several times, and the thought of kayaking Cleveland's shore left me wondering. The guides did a great job of welcoming and orientation. When I saw the truck unloaded, I could not believe the great conditon and quality of the kayaks and equipment. These guys are pros, and it shows. The kayaks far outshone anything we've rented in Florida. The 41 North guides did an outstanding job as leaders, keeping the group together, offering friendly advice, and sharing their knowledge of the city. It made the evening memorable and something I hope to do again at another one of their locations.

We're really sorry to hear that you had a less-than-stellar experience with a member of our staff. We've always had great customer feedback in the past and pride ourselves on providing our clients with the highest quality equipment in a great location with help from friendly and knowledgeable staff members.Our rental center hours (posted on our website and on signage at the Yak Shack) are 11am-7pm on weekdays and 9am-6pm on weekends. Our "last launch" is one-hour prior to closing, and paddlers do need to arrive about 10 minutes prior to their launch time to sign waivers, get fitted for boats and equipment, and review safety procedures.
