We stopped at the Mill for Octoberfest. It was a very well organized event. There was a very wide variety of beer, wine and fall flavored shots. We enjoyed going through the old mill and checking out the artwork that was on display.

My grandfather use to take us here as children when they had hard dipped ice cream. It is now owned by new owners and I love what they have done with the place! We have gone here for the Jack Hannah zoo animals, the Wine fest and the Okctoberfest! Never disappointed! Great place for the whole family!

We come here a few times every year for their big fundraising events. They bring in the Columbus Zoo for wildlife weekend in the spring, an international wine festival in June, and Oktoberfest at the end of September. As another reviewer said, everything is run by volunteers & they do such a great job with these events - plus all money they raise goes back into their restoration/preservation efforts, so it's for a great cause. Each year they get better & better, they're always bringing new & different things to the area! The grounds & park are meticulously well kept, every volunteer we've ever spoken with has been super friendly & helpful. Overall just a really great place with really great people involved. They are a great asset to the Mohican area & we'll continue to go back year after year!

My wife and I popped in and were going to stay but we had our teens tubing on the river and wanted to stay at campground. There is a one dollar per person charge but the grounds looked very well maintained and it is only 1 mile from main campground entrance. We will go the next time we are in the area. I am not sure of bathrooms but would assume they have them there. It is on the river and pretty to look at.

It is worth a short stop at this historic grist mill where flour was once ground. Very cool getting to see how things were done in the past. There is also a historic log cabin on the grounds, as well as some farm buildings. They are currently building a "new" log cabin from salvaged beams from old area cabins. I believe this property is generally open on the weekends - check out their website for hours. It will only take you about an hour to get through and is right near Loudonville, so it is an easy stop. Note that it is run by volunteers, so do not expect this place to be a posh, restored historic site. There are a lot of interesting machines inside the mill building that are lacking signage - maybe a volunteer will someday put signs on those so that visitors will know what they are all for.
