This place is wonderful if you arent afraid to get dirty. The animals are adorable and always a favorite with the little kids. They have plenty of fun things for kids to play on and the farmers market is awesome! The hay ride is very bumpy, I suggest sitting in the middle. You WILL get muddy, there is no avoiding it. They have a decent pumpkin field and they give you a reasonable amount of time to pick a pumpkin. Its a fun evening out!

I have been in car accidents less violent than this hayride. To make matters worse, you are pulled through waist high muck and stagnant water, so there is no way to get off and trudge back with small children. I was literally tossed with my 1 year old several inches off of the wagon repeatedly, then slammed back down, and splintered my hands attempting to hold on. This is not something safe for babies, little kids, or pregnant women. To top it off, the selection of pumpkins you are given to choose from are all of the rotting ones that are going bad. Save yourself the time, aggravation and money, and skip it.

I have been to Windmill Farm Market three times. The hayride is fun, but as others have mentioned it is very bumpy. I would suggest not taking a child until he/she is 2 or older, make sure you hold on to the kids! The animals are cool, the kids loved them. It was a little pricey, but what isn't now a days.

There were no disclaimers about the hayride. It was very bumpy and SHOULD NOT be riden by ppl with back pains, women who are pregnant, or small children. I was fearful my child would come off of the ride with shaken baby syndrome. Awful.

Windmill Farm Market is south on SR48 near the east west junction of SR 48. Windmill Farm Market is not a destination for us, but rather a pleasant diversion in an area with several farm markets. The sales staff seems young and enthusiastic. The baked items are priced right; the in season produce and flowers always provide a lift.We like to support "mom and pop" operations.

I used to live in Springboro & Windmill Farm was a favorite place to get fresh produce & wonderful annual plants. They always carried many types of fruit & during corn season, they had many different varieties of sweet corn. In summer, you could pick your own strawberries from their straw berry patch.. Now they have added a small bakery with delicious home baked goods. There are always unique home decoration items at a reasonable price. They have enlarged their parking lot & if you arrive at a time when there is not a special event taking place ( weekends, there is ample parking. Being the only farm that has animals to see, it can get quite busy. This year, our family with my 3 year old grandson visited during the week & it was not crowded. There were hand made wooden trains large enough to climb into & this amused my grandson for a long while. There is a small pond with ducks, & they have goats, llamas, horses, chickens, pheasants & a foreign bull to watch. All the animals have names! Since it was Halloween month, they offered hay rides on the weekends where you could choose a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. We returned on the weekend & it was mobbed, so we decided to forgo the hayride. Nice small place to take young children for a "farm" visit. Tip: Go during the week when it is less crowded!
