Great 3.14 mile trail on dirt through the woods along the river. Mountain bike easily or walk. Mostly shaded.

The only thing difficult about this trial would be the length for the elderly. This trail lacks in depth but for a trail located with in city limits it is recommended for those with friends of the canine variety...there is a tiny loop located at the end of the trail so the walk is basically a straight line to and from. The trail is well maintained and also decent for novice runners looking for a short 3.5 mile run. The trail is about 1.75 miles long (3.5 total distance to end and back) and is not very wide. The brush is tall and the views are limited....but for a quick 25-40 jog/run, go ahead and enjoy this trail....better than running on the hard pavement roads!

the park is beautiful the trail is well maintained. i walk my dog there about three times a week. good for hikers 2.7 mile, bikers, joggers. the high school cross country team hits it every wednesday. very cool on hot days most places can be easily walked two or three abreast can be a problem early morning and evenings because of homeless people but police do pretty good job of patrolling

It is close to down town Albany. A great place to hike.We have a picnic lunch and enjoy the river.Take the time to look at the flood makers.

Stopped in here to eat our sandwiches, just happened to see the sign at the entrance. There is lots of parking, washrooms. They put out some picnic tables but curiously set them under the bridge instead of a more scenic and quiet spot. Nice river views. There is a good boat launch and a pier they put out seasonally, so i guess this park caters largely to fishers. There are some riverside trails but we did not have time to explore. One interesting thing is that they marked the high water flood mark of the Willamette River on a wooden pole beside the river - wow!anyway, its a pleasant enough spot, but nothing special

I've passed this park dozens of times but never stopped in. On this day, I had been through a fast food drive-thru and decided to eat my sandwich here since it was a bright sunny winter's day. There is plenty of parking and many of the spaces are angled so you can see the Willamette River from your car. I was one of several people eating lunch in their cars whilst looking at the river - I suspect that this park is quite a popular place for locals to relax and enjoy their lunch! There were a lot of picnic tables stacked up so they probably set them out for the summer. There are restrooms, but they were locked so they too are probably open only during summer.Although I did not take the time to explore the walking trails, I saw several people (some with their dogs) arrive, park, and head along the trail to the north. This park is open during daylight hours only.
