I guess I'm a snob when it comes to casinos... Most of the time I go to the high end luxury resorts in Vegas... But was out in Pahrump for the motor resort and stopped into the Nugget one night. Fun little place... Surprisingly good for such a small town. Played some Blackjack but found the place a bit too smokey for my liking. Staff was friendly... Didn't get to try the food.
Decent size casino for this small town. It is smoky with poor ventilation. Tables are inexpensive and there is a good variety of slot machines.
Apparently they have a large casino with 2 cocktail waitresses on duty. Okay, they may be busy, but if you try to get served at the bar they tell you they can't because the 2, yes, 2 cocktail waitresses are on duty. These 2 girls were more busy taking care of their lipstick then the paying and gambling customers. The very nice ex or current meth head at the bar actually would serve me but the 2 lazy barmaids with their bad attitudes would not allow it.On another note, I have attempted to eat in this stinking place twice but could find no sign of food.
Two for one buffet was really very good. They have absolutely anything you want. Baked fish, sliced Prime rib, beef tip and several other main dishes, plus great sides and desserts and an Ice Cream machine.
Two for one buffet with great prime rib and a large selection of other entries, vegetables, desserts, & frozen custard.
We were greeted by an extremely overtired and aggravated receptionist, dressed in her football jumper. In between her abuse to two different phone callers, and telling us our reservation was 'wrong', and they didn't have room for us on the last night there... we finally got our room keys!I think the operator that has spent 40 years taking money on the tollbooth for cars has more excitement about their job than ALL of the staff we met there! The venue - Well, it should be knocked down and rebuilt!OLD, Smokey, Smelly...plain and simply....down right awful!I seriously would consider sleeping in the dessert instead if I can't find another room there next time!I've been a member of TripAdvisor for a long time, however don't really believe in saying much if there isn't something nice worth say... i really had to break my rule with this venue!
As you would expect this is a local favorite as well as a stop for tourists passing by. Probably the largest of all the casinos in town it has several types of machines and table games to offer. The two video poker bars are good size to accommodate a busy night. This would be my first choice of all the casinos in Pahrump.
OK food, not the best, smoke bothers me, not sure if this is possible but I did not care for the atmosphere. I will say the wood over pizza was really good. (This was NOT the source of the smoke-people were)
A little pricey for some things. I was not overly impressed. It is about 7 miles from the RV resort. During our visit there were several slot machines that were out of commission, which is not good for a casino.
1. Checked in for two night stay, went to the second floor and it smelled like a sewer. The ENTIRE floor, including my room.2. Couldn't hook up my simple DVD player to the TV to watch what I wanted. Front office offered no help.3. Costs around $20 more per night than other hotel-casinos in Pahrump.4. Wasn't worth it.5. Some of the early morning specials weren't available (including steak 'n' eggs). Bummer!7. Don't bother staying here, it's not worth it. Another hotel in town is much less expensive and has a free breakfast most mornings.
Wow, machines are no different than any other casino. Actually I live close to the casino going there frequently and usually never win squat! Duh, what else is new? SSDD
A fun little casino.I think the only place where you can win really big in Pahrump.Mostly slot machines, but a good casino and the food is great.
Only stopped in to play a few machines. We were lucky on a few, came out $100 ahead, but I didn't think they had the variety that I had remembered from some years back. Didn't eat in the restaurant, so cannot comment on that
Good Buffett inside the casino. I believe on Friday they have crab legs. Best dinner value in town. Can get crowded.
We usually eat there only for breakfast, the breakfast menu is fairly good. Prices are average, about what you would expect for a casino restaurant. The service is usually pretty good, They also have a wide variety of menu items!
