lied center for the performing arts

We just went to Capitol Steps there, will be going to Paula Poundstone and Yo Yo Ma there as well. Well managed, beautiful, very nice acoustically, and great performers come there. AND the price for most entertainment there is affordable.

The Lied is a great place to watch a performance and they provide a wide variety of shows and performances each year. Great volunteers and donors. Parking is close and inexpensive. You will have access to plenty of food within walking distance of the LIED.

We went there for a Law School graduation. It was easy to park across the road in a city parking garage and once we found the main entrance we were doing ok. The seating was ok, but tight for my "larger" butt / waist. If I hadn't lost weight recently, I would be having issues that day LOL

Nice venue, friendly staff. Lots of restaurants nearby. They make good use of restroom space because the one I used had several stalls crammed into a very small space. Waiting in line was difficult but quick.

I love going to shows at the center. They bring in a lot of very high quality shows & I enjoy seeing the schedule each year. I've never been disappointed in a show.

The Lied Center on the UNL campus downtown has many events that are not usually available here in Lincoln for the average person. Prices tend to be on the high side, but very reasonable for students and faculty. Any student who goes here who has not taken advantage of the entertainment at the Lied center has missed out on some great show. The only disadvantage is parking at the garage across the street is crowded both getting into and out of, and crossing the street is so cold on a dark winter night. Oftern times the line waiting for the elevator stretches way out onto the sidewalk.

Nice sized venue, can see all without being up close. They offer a nice variety of shows at decent prices.

The Christmas Concert was great - music, kids, musicians, conductor, building, parking, location etc. Really Great

this place is for a special attraction it is very pricey, but any concert is. the same with theater performance. that is mostly what they do. there are some good shows to be had here. mostly, just be sure you have that special show, as these people are pricey.

Many options available during the season. Check it out and I'm sure you will find a show you will enjoy.

I went and saw the production of the WIzard of Oz with my high school the year before we did it as our musical. Watching it got my really excited to perform it as well! Plus I love how fancy the lied center is!

We try to make at least a couple performances a year and of course The Nutcracker at Christmas time. Always a great experience.

Saw RENT here with some friends from college, and it was awesome!!!

If you intend to attend a performance here, spend the money to get the best seats, otherwise you may hear nothing. The place is built like a barn. Architects clearly had no concept of constructing a concert hall. Other than that the building is quite pleasant.
