People when they come to wine country of course they think of taking a wine tour, but little did we know there are some amazing breweries in Wine country. We went on a brewery tour with Stacy's Wine tour on Valentines day weekend. The brewery tour bus was literary a pub on wheels. From the beautiful hardwood floors to the keg on the back of the bus. The amount of detail Stacy placed on the bus alone really set the mood for the rest of the trip. We went to three different locations and all of them were exceptional. Stacy's knowledge of the breweries and her recommendations were great. If you happen to be in wine country I would say take a brewery tour with Stacy you will seriously regret not doing so. We are actually already planning our next tour with Stacy's, this time we are bringing all our friends.
My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary by booking two days with Stacy's tours.........one day in Napa and one in Sonoma. Our driver/guide, Chrissy, was terrific.........personable and capable. We thoroughly enjoyed each of the wineries we visited, including blending our own wine at Ravenswood, and an herb-cheese-wine pairing at Paradise Ridge. Stacy made sure our itinerary included tastings at places that made the kinds of wines we like best, including places not usually open to the public. There are so many wineries to choose from that it was wonderful to have Stacy pick just the right ones and arrange the tours. We really enjoyed the whole experience thanks to Stacy's expertise.
My husband and I booked with Stacy for a Saturday in July. What a great decision! Stacy is more than helpful, knowledgeable about wine country and organized. She asked me some questions to get a feel of what kind of wine we like and planned our day from there. Our driver, Kim, was AWESOME! He was so polite, so knowledgeable, professional and just an all around nice guy. We visited four wineries, all were great! Kim drove our rental, and he kept us on time and he even provided us with water and "cooled our vehicle" before we got in! (It was over 100 degrees!) It cost $39 an hour, but it's a great deal and well worth staying safe. BIG thanks to Stacy for organizing a fabulous day and to Kim for escorting us around wine country! Highly recommend Stacy's Wine Private Day Tours!
Stacy provided my mom and I with a fantastic itinerary for our Saturday wine tour at a competitive price and with very short notice. The Zinfandel Inn recommended Stacy when I called the Tuesday before we arrived and once I was in touch with Stacy she was very patient waiting for me to coordinate with my mom before finalizing the booking. Our itinerary was fabulous, we stopped at two boutique wineries and then a larger one that specialized in sparkling wine. This was based on a conversation from earlier in the week where she found out what both mine and my mom's wine preferences were. We had a fourth stop on our itinerary, but had so much fun at the first three the fourth one closed before we were able to visit.Stacy was also very personable and we talked throughout the day about everything from the area to our families. She also seemed to have great relationships with the wineries that we stopped at as well as our bed and breakfast. We were welcomed warmly at every stop and Stacy was also able to tell us different stories and interesting facts about each stop.Overall, we loved our day in Napa and Stacy only made it better for us!
Spent the day with Stacy yesterday and by far the best tour we've been on. Between booking our tour to meeting her in the morning she handled it all! (and was great with communication). From explaining all the scenery to getting us into wineries and keeping us on track, Stacy was a lifesaver. She also kept up with what I liked, what I bought, and which clubs I signed up for! I never knew she doubles as a personal assistant but we sure did need one. I highly recommend Stacy when you visit the area. I wish she would go with us to San Francisco today, we're gonna be lost!
My wife and I wanted to leave our car behind while enjoying a day exploring the wineries, and the place we were staying at suggested we call Stacy's Private Tours. We had a great time from start to finish, and are very glad we called! There are some many hundreds of wineries to choose from, and it was nice to have an experienced expert select ones for us. When we booked the tour Stacy asked what types of wines we liked, what area we wanted to go to, any particular places we wanted to visit, etc. Our tour guide Nick Doherty came to pick us up exactly on time and with a cooler filled with cold water for us. Nick was fantastic and planned a great day for us. The way the tour works is that a private tour guide picks you up at your place and drives your vehicle, which is great as my wife and I didn't have to figure out which of us would be the designated driver! Nick has tons of experience in the wine industry, is a local, and was very funny and informative at the same time. We started the tour at Gloria Ferrer, a beautiful Spanish style winery specializing in sparkling wines. Afterwards we went to Gundlach Bundschu, one of the oldest wineries in California for an enjoyable tasting which also had beautiful grounds. Nick was able to arrange a private tasting at Lassiter Family Winery, which was a treat as my wife is a huge Pixar fan. Lassiter was created by the founder of Pixar, and was actually not opened that day, but Nick was able to get us inside to meet the wine maker and have an excellent private tasting experience. We then stopped at VJB Winery in the heart of Kenwood Plaza to pick up some sandwiches before heading to the Kunde Winery for a picnic lunch. Nick had the most impressive gourmet picnic basket we had ever seen, china with matching cloth napkins and table-glasses, nice silver-ware. He took us to a nice area overlooking the vineyards and fountains, and even had a portable speaker set up for through his phone to play Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc. A nice touch for sure!We had mentioned that we wanted to have a tasting in a wine cave at some point, and for our last spot Nick took us to Deerfield Ranch Winery. That was also a very pleasant experience enjoying a tasting deep in the wine caves. Afterwards Nick drove our car back to the ranch that we were staying. The tour is $30 per hour and ours went from 10:15 to 5:15, but it is worth it to have the peace of mind not to worry about driving and to have a private tour. I would highly recommend Stacy's Wine Private Day Tours and Nick as a tour guide. You will have a great time!
I recently returned from a weekend girl's trip to Sonoma, CA. My friends organized a wine tour with "Stacy's Wine Tours". We corresponded with Stacy for weeks before our trip & she was very friendly & knowledgeable. She even texted us the day of our arrival to suggest places for us to enjoy Champaign & lunch. We were lucky to have Stacy as our tour guide & driver the next day. She was on time & had her ice chest stocked with cold water. Stacy took us to 5 fabulous wineries & we were able to see a lot of the countryside as we drove from place to place. Each winery was different from the next, which we really enjoyed. She also took us to a great sandwich shop for a picnic style lunch at a beautiful winery & brought us a bottle of wine & glasses during our lunch! We felt totally comfortable with Stacy during our tour! She had a fabulous knowledge of navigating the area & of wine & food, in general. I would 100% recommend Stacy to anyone looking for a perfect day in wine country!
