I loved the whole exursion from beginning to end. From the historic perspective to the kicking back and enjoying beautifull scenery. My 14 year old daughter and 16 yea old son enjoyed it, even though there was no video game or interactive experience! It was really a unique experience to travel down the tracks and imagine how life was back then. They definetley inform you about the local history which was awesome, and asked if you liked the trip they could provide you with similiar adventures in the area. We spent more mone than e should have at the gift shop, but my kids still display their finds and show their friends when they come over. My daughter asked if we could go again next year and bring her friends. Overall it is a great old fashioned family experience that you do not want to miss if you are in the area.

We took advantage of the Saturday night dinner and train ride in late August 2014. The dinner was lovely and the train ride and campfire singalong , very enjoyable. The entertainers were fabulous and all the staff very efficient and friendly. We booked our tickets well in advance, glad we did. There is also a gift shop on site with a large variety of very nice gifts and trinkets. A great way to spend a Saturday evening.

Fun adventure into the forest on the train. In the summer they have a small entourage playing fun music at the bottom of the mountain.

We went on a drought year, so there was no snow in January. They had the train open for holiday service and it was a very fun hour long excursion on a narrow gauge engine. My three year old was in heaven. They have a cute gift shop and very nice people running the railroad. We visit every trip we take to south yosemite.

We took the train ride and went through some very pretty country. If you're looking for something to do with the family this is a fun train ride to take. A nice casual ride through some beautiful scenery. They let you out when the train gets to its destination so you can walk around a little bit. After the complete trip ends you have the opportunity to go through their gift shop and get something to eat. A very nice experience for our family.

The train ride was pretty fun. The kids enjoyed it and the narration was informative. Definitely worth the cost/time.

This was a delightful steam train ride through an old sugar pine forest. There is a stop at a picnic ground if you want to bring lunch and some bug spray. Do not miss the exhibits at the train station.

This is a tour of a small site where a mill once stood. The steam train is authentic, huge and awesome. The information about the area in it's time is really interesting.

It snowed on November 1, 2014 for our ride on the train!The ride is relaxing, informative and a joy to ride. The guide talks about the trees, logging and natural surroundings along the way. We were fortunate to have the first snow of the season on our one hour excursion. It is a Very enjoyable ride! The gift shop and museum were open on our visit as well. The staff are super friendly!

We payed over $50.00 for 2 adults and 1 child to ride 1/2 hour up a hill with nothing to look at but pine trees and tangle foot. The P.A. system on the train is worthless, you can't hear or understand whats being said. Once at the top of the hill it stops at a picnic ground. you can get off and look at more pine trees and dirt. The train takes on water, then back down the same route. Not worth the time or money.

Great way to spend an evening. BBQ was tasty and Train was great! The Sugar Pine Trio kept us all entertained

Loved the nature. Fun excursion for everyone. Love trains & nature that is the thing to do. The smell of the pine trees and the changing of the leaves in fall is so beautiful.

If you are a train enthusiast, this is a "must see" experience. It was an interesting ride thru the forest and you learn a lot about the logging and train history of the area. A very pleasant way to spend an hour or 2.

Moon light ride through the forest after a steak BBQ. Live entertainment. A must do if you are at Yosemite. Very family friendly. The band even sang Happy Birthday to our grandson on his birthday.

A Must visit restaurant! Very warm and cozy. Excellent food and friendly staff. You have to explore every room since each one has a different feel.
