good and peaceful area. pujas are also very good . lot of parking space. But in festival time go earlier otherwise parking lot may be full.
This temple, built on a large ground with a lot of parking space, is perhaps the best Hindu temple in the extended San Francisco Bay area. It has idols of various deities and appears to serve the entire cross section of the local Hindu community. The day we visited happened to be Karva Chauth, a festival observed mainly in North India. We saw about 60-80 ladies dressed in traditional attire performing puja in the main temple premises under the guidance of a senior lady. There are two other large halls and several smaller rooms to perform ceremonies and functions. The staff of the temple were helpful in providing information.
This temple is like a one-stop temple wherein we can worship many Hindu Gods and Goddesses. We can have Dharshan of Ganesha, Durga, Subramanya, Ram Lakshman Sita, Ayappa, Navagraha apart from Siva and Vishnu. There is a dedicated place for Homa and pooja offerings.Path behind the deities lead to a courtyard wherein devotees being offered Prasadams. The temple has a separate office building wherein there is an exclusive room for keeping footwear and also for purchase of prasadams like laddu and Vada. The Temple has a huge parking area.Temple is very well maintained and is a great place of worship.
Took a tour through this amazing temple by a member during the first day of a festival. Lovely, welcoming and lively temple.
Living in India and used to our temples here, I was pleasantly surprised when my friend took me to the Livermore temple. Excellent maintenance combined with great worship procedures add up to a great spiritual atmosphere that would linger in your mind for years to come. In addition, they also keep delivering almost unlimited food as Prasadam to the visiting devotees, quenching not just the spiritual thirst but also the physical one. Overall, its a great place to visit. Never miss if you're passing through that zone.
This is easily one of the best Hindu temples in the US. It has the idols of almost all the major Hindu Gods and instills a lot of peace and tranquility. The "poojas" and festivals are conducted well and there are a lot of priests servicing the various Gods. The facilities are well-maintained and there is a lot of free parking available within the temple facility and also on the streets. They have a separate building to leave our footwear while visiting the temple and also for purchasing special "Prasad" like "laddus" etc. The general "Prasad" is available at the back of the main temple building. The place can get very crowded during festival days, so it is better to avoid those days.
Just visited one time. Temple is beautiful and would definitely visit again. Parking is free and I think this is one of biggest hindu temples I have seen in California.
Living in Bay Area since 3 years now, and I have made it a habit to visit this temple once a month! Not during festive days, but any normal day this temple makes me feel pleasant...My 1 year old loves to walk around inside the temple hall :) :) !!
I love the large events here. Very warm and welcoming. Any event with food is amazing! The temple itself is very lovely and is well cared for. We enjoy visiting when we get a chance.
I am privileged to get the Hindu temple listed on Tripadvisor and to write the first review. Its about an hours drive from bay area. My family and I have been visiting the temple for a long time now. There is this that you experience peace inside the temple. Its also a great place to teach and familiarize your kids on hindu mythology. Usually you get the bhog/prasad every afternoon.During durga puja the hall is used for authentic bengali style puja. We are very lucky to have the temple nearby.
