I only get to Dierberg once a year, and they always remember me. They are welcoming and helpful and carry a great line of wines and fairly priced. Their wine club is great.

Are we prejudiced because we are wine club members? Maybe. But we joined because if the great customer service and wines. We love the different styles of wines, the different glasses used, service on the patio, lovely staff. In summary we love it all, and living in the vicinity means we have plenty of choices. The scenery is peaceful, love feeling like we are in the country and sitting on the patio with friends eating cheese, hummus and crackers with their great wines.

All it needs is a country band. Perfect setting for a party. Location is lovely, big patio so enjoy food and wine and very nice staff.

We arrived here late on a Saturday afternoon in August, after touring through the wineries, and were lucky enough to get the last available table and chairs outside. The place was buzzing and families "in the know" were arriving with picnic blankets and folding chairs. After selecting the first of our wine tastings we managed to pick up some delicious pulled pork sliders and pig candy (sugared bacon) from Schmiggle Smokers BBQ who were on site that afternoon, before the queue started to lengthen. We settled down to some excellent live music from the band Spun Honey as the sun set throwing spectacular shadows on the surrounding hills.

Dierberg Wineyard and it's tasting room is a really great find in Lompoc. We visited as it was suggested by another nearby winery but we really loved it. It's so peaceful and serene and the wines are really good. Also they accept pets in the outdoor area and the tasting room which is a great plus as I like traveling with my pet. I have already purchased several wines since I first visited and will continue doing so and will visit again and again when I am in the area.

We arrived complete with a picnic lunch and took over a table on the forecourt/patio. After a while we were asked if we would like to do a tasting where we were. We said yes and were brought the various wines while we relaxed outside enjoying a breezy but warm sunny afternoon. The view down the valley is very bucolic and photogenic. The wines are good quality and we picked our favorite and bought a few bottles. Just as we were ready to leave two bus loads of people arrived as two separate parties; one a group of women who had made arrangements to take over most of the tables on the patio, and a bachelorette party who were already quite wild. We were glad to be leaving. It seems to be a hazard of wine tasting, especially the Central Coast region, that groups tour the wineries in buses - which is fine for them, but doesn't allow for the quiet intimate and relaxed wine tasting experience we were wanting. Luckily our timing worked out and we had a very pleasant visit and enjoyed the Pinot Noirs in particular.

Every wine we tasted was excellent - a rarity for me! The winery itself is picturesque and the staff was friendly and knowledgable. We enjoyed chatting about the wines of the region and got some great tips on other good places to try in the area.

We have been club members at Dierberg and we have been consistently impressed with the wines we have received. We enjoyed visiting the tasting room last summer so much we had to sign up for the club! The staff was so friendly and the area around the tasting room was just beautiful. Highly recommend.

I am heavily involved with just about every wine area of CA, and I have spent years finding my favorites in each viticultural area and Dierberg/Star Lane/Three Saints is in my opinion committed to the finest growing, and winemaking principals and their wines follow this with consistent quality and flavor!
