This was our first visit to this kids museum and we had a blast! It is perfectly located at Fort Baker, in Sausalito, and looking at the beautiful Golden Gate, so you can snap some good shots! The Lookout Cove is an outdoors area with a nice little trail, a peekaboo palace made from little branches, a shipwreck where little ones can dig to find the hidden treasure, and much more, it was a nice perfect time under the sunny day.At the Discovery Hall, our daughter had such an amazing time with the especial exhibit like, "little red rabbit", building a snow man with some bean bags, listening to songs while opening some windows at the "Abuela" by Arthur Dorros and learning more about frogs.Wave Workshop has two amazing fish tanks where we were looking for the "flat fish" and they really disappear in the sand with their sand color if there were for their eyes if could be hard to find them! Besides kids and parents spent sometime building some boats with the pieces at the little water tank that have a little wave.Bay Hall has a pretty neat town with railroads, caves, tunnels, and more to go all around by little kids trains. Besides a nice boat where kids can feel like captains and it even has some motion. We enjoyed at the Festival Plaza where Imagination Playground Company had their huge blue blocks for kids to build and have some imagination time.At the Art Studios we were nicely greet by one of the staff members and she encouraged our girl to go and add some more colorful papers with the colored glue to the hanging like balloons, and she loved it! Of course, she get a little messy but it was o.k. to see her having fun.We even had a very healthy lunch from the Cafe Bean Sprouts and enjoyed at the covered Picnic Area!As we were walking to the store, our daughter played with the metal flutes, the drums, and other musical instruments places along the way. The store offers great educational toys, and nice stuff for all budgets! Definitively, we have to go back because we want to see the areas we missed this time, and this place is great for a family time!

We spend half day with our 6 year old daughter. There is a lot to play and learn for the kids. There are different areas for the kids to explore. They can build things, play in the water or make patterns with sand. The location is also great, from the car park you have a view to the Golden Gate and across the bay.

Our 3 year old loves this place, especially the inside area where you paint on the windows. I love all the assortment of activities that keep kids busy and engaged. It's nice that there is so much to do outside, my only concern is the water play area's outside, could be cleaner for little hands (as little hands go into their mouths). The view of the Golden gate bridge is spectacular here, defiantly picture worthy. Whether it be an hour or 2 or the whole day its a great place to "play".

If you like hands on and a place where kids go and don't wan to leave this is it. The location is historic Military land reclaimed. Right next to the San Francisco Bay this is family fun at its best. But its great for adults too.

We took a 4 and 7 year old. There was more than enough things to do to keep them busy. They fell right to sleep as soon as we got in the car.

This is a nice little museum for kids. It has many activities, arts and crafts, a nice playground and so forth. Make sure to find a deal on Groupon or Travelzoo before coming here and you'll save a lot of money - otherwise it's overpriced. It's nothing we haven't seen before with kids. Some of the employees were a bit overzealous and took their job a bit too seriously - this is a place for kids and kids should kind of be able to do what they want in a place that is catered to them. What I did not like is the over-healthy conscious eatery they have there - it's a bit overboard with the whole health food aspect. Kids shouldn't eat crap, or less of it, but come on - you gotta give em' something - not all kids enjoy bean sprouts - forget about seeing a piece of chocolate there... All in all it was a lovely place to kill time with kids on a Friday afternoon.

:Lots to do for kids 2-9. Half the museum is outside which is fine most days though it can get cold and windy in the winter. we loved the circle exhibition and the outdoor spaces.Go to town for lunch if you want better food than what they offer which is adequate.

Great place for young children to explore by touching, feeling, playing, creating, & etc. Even the arts & science area was fun. It was very enjoyable to see both my toddlers age 4 & 2 years enjoy a place that is designed for them that had safe and fun areas to play at/in. We visited for about 2 hours. Wished we would have arrived earlier. Big enough place for young children. For parents, it's nice to have enclosed play areas, so you can keep your eyes on them while sitting or playing with them and not allowing children to run out of site. Another great thing as well iis having plenty of restrooms close to each play area for parents & children: easy access for children to go potty last minute. Entrance fee was very affordable. Parking is free. No hassle. Employees were friendly. Definitely will go again with my children, recommend to families with young children, and budget friendly!!!

My kids love this place , it felt like 4 hours weren't enough to do the exploring . The outdoor and indoor activities are very fun . There is an indoor place to paint and play with ice ...kids had lot of fun . Aside from that , this location has fantastic options for taking photos . The views of the Golden Gate Bridge are awesome . Loved this place ,the only downside during holidays is , it took us more than an hour just to cross the bridge from the presidio which should be like 3 or 4 miles . Great place , would definitely recommend .

If you have kids aged 2 - 9 Go! Something for every imagination. We loved the "stick hut".Avoid a rainy day , plan at least three hours and the entrance fee will be worth it. Kids should wear "get mudy-sticky-painty" clothes. Also, enjoy great GG Bridge views, yummy food, and sightingd of the fascinating species of "SF/Marin techno-parentis" and their offspring.

This place is a must see for anyone traveling through this area. There are things for every age group but our group of kids were aged 3-7 and they all loved it. Lots of hands on and lots of outdoor activities. They have new events and activities from time to time so check the website and plan accordingly. They also have a free day a month, otherwise you pay a fee or join the organization which is reasonable especially if you plan to come a few times a year.

What a fantastic and interesting place, under Golden Gate Bridge! You can take the best pictures from there with the kids playing in the playground. It is a museum with countless activities that enhances creativity, motion coordination, problem solving, everything is fun and environment friendly. It closes at 5 so make sure you spend at leasttttt 3 hours.

My son was under two years old when we went, so I wasn't sure how much he'd 'get' it; but he had a blast! There are many things to play with and explore for different ages. Will definitely return soon.

The food tasted good but after lunch on ride home one by one both boys, my wife then myself began to vomit uncontrollable. Food preparation seemed off as our orders were all wrong so im sure there food safty is as well. All teenagers Working in the kitchen

1. great for kids especially under 62. parking gets filled fast so try to get there early3. bring jackets since it does get cold out there4. great view of the golden gate bridge5. you could bring your own food but their canteen has great healthy meal for the family - a bit expensive though.6. just wish it had real fishes in the aquariums for the kids to seeoverall, it's a good place for kiddos to explore. for folks who are not used to passing by the golden gate bridge, just note that they don't have people in the booths to take money for the toll, just pass by the toll and they will send you a bill for the toll (they do take a picture of your license plate)
