What I like about OAW is that they always have a great variety of beers, many of which aren't your usual offerings. For example they have many barrel aged beers and have had a large variety of sours. They have the usual suspects like wheat beers and several IPAs and a very popular Strong Ale. And the owner Mark is a real character, he is very funny and knowledgeable. Make sure you buy a glass because it gives you a permanent $1 discount per pint. This is a great place to go relax and has a CHILL atmosphere.

Reasonably priced, good customer service from the GM Products for me can be hit or miss sometimes. Would go back

Oceanside Aleworks is Oceanside's first modern micro-brewery. It has been around for over 8 years now. They have a large tasting room with many different ales to try from the lighter Buccaner Blond and Pierview Pale Ales to the hop heavy, higher acohol Elevation 83 and American Strong Ales and many more. You can buy a pint for $4-$5 or a taster. They often have a food truck or food tent set-up outside. i got some BBQ the day I was there. You will also meet many locals from the area who have a appreciation of the local breweries like this one.Every Sat.this summer they have live music starting in the late afternoon. Tip; if you buy their glass you get a $1 discount on every pint thereafter. Also if you meet the bearded former schoolteacher and owner Mark Purceil ask him for some of his famous Habanero-Ghost chili beer cheese. It is good but Hot!!! Cheers!
