el dorado fairgrounds

We have been to the fair, home show, and other events at the fairgrounds. It's always clean, the people are nice, and we always feel comfortable there. The fairgrounds has been closed recently for a very good reason. They allowed it to be a staging area for the firefighters during the King Fire. Thank you, thank you to everyone involved.

This fairgrounds made a perfect base camp. The stables were used to house evacuated horses from the Sand Fire. The buildings were great for mass feedings of fire fighting personnel. The parking and drive through made it easy to load equipment and supplies. Great job to the County for having a plan to use this place for an evac center and fire camp.

Great venue for concerts and of course our fair. We enjoy even going on weekends espcially as a fun place to walk with our dog. We think this is one of the quaintest and prettiest fair grounds in the state.

$ good deal family fun, alot great food. It a must for locals and great for a 1 vacation. Ideal for first dates. I would say for a local fair it 1 of the best in foothills.

It is a nice small cournty fair. with alot of animals in the back, and 4 H shows. The pig races are fun, not many rides, but they were fun. the mid way carnies were really nice, actually and gave the little girl I was with (in a wheelchair with broken leg) extra prizes when she played their games! the food was good! Deep Fried EVERYTHING On a STICK!! there were not a whole lot of craft or shopping booths, like I like, but there were plenty. It feels real safe there, even at night. I didnt like having to get my alcohol from one place way in back and have to stay there with it.. very homey.

They dont take care of anything. Everything is over priced because the fairgrounds gouges vendors!

We exhibit 4H animals each year at our County Fair. Each year our kids look forward to camping and enjoying the Fair. They get to see and visit with friends from school and friends from Fair. It is a safe, fun, family oriented event. Our kids have participated in the Wheel Barrow Races, watched bands and cheered on their friends during the battle of the bands, even done the muttin' bustin' and been hypnotized on stage. Our kids are exposed to the variety of things offered in our county from Master Food Preserving to various horticulture displays. It is always fun to explore the different exhibit halls to see the beautiful quilts, great paintings and beautiful photographs, watch demonstrations in the fiber arts building and be able to get back to show our pigs and watch our fair friends show their animals.

Nothing beats fair food so after my daily intake of a corn dog and a 20-30 taco I usually head to the gelato stand. Everyone is so friendly.

Attended the 2011 El Dorado County Fair and enjoyed not only the 4H animals, but also the entertainment which was included in the price of admission. The bathrooms were very clean and well supplied. We had such a good time, we are planning on coming back for this years fair, June 14-17!

What a great night we had at the Fairgrounds!!! More crab than we could eat. The facility was great. Live music, great food. What a blast. Can't wait until next year!!!

Typical fairgrounds, rides, food stands, they have a museum on site which is cool. They also allow people to lease time in their covered arena for their horses, especially useful during bad weather.
