Absolutely one of the most beautiful courses we have seen. Pristine conditions and a challenging layout. Beautiful facilities and very friendly staff.

I drove up from the Bay area to visit a friend who lives in the area. He took me over to play the course. I live in a golfing community so I play a lot of golf in very good conditions. This course was in fabulous shape with majestic views. It is one of the best courses I have played in years. Some of the holes require unique strategic decisions and others require length and control. The greens were a challenge, but very fair and in great shape. The staff was very friendly, as were the other golfers. The crisp clean mountain air, the abundant sunshine and the wildlife were just added pluses. The surrounding facilities are top notch. I hope to come back and play again.

I'm sure the 1 star guy had a bad day, but I've golfed at Grizzly about 8 times and have always had an excellent experience with pace, friendly staff and course conditions. The layout is a classic mountain course with a good variety of holes and vistas. It's no too tight like it's ridiculous neighbor The Dragon, but accuracy is well rewarded. The Lake House 19th hole has a great patio with Adirondack chairs and a perfect view looking over the waterfall and 18th hole, The drought this year has just slightly affected course conditions, but overall it is still the best course out of the five 18 holers in the area and at a price less than Whitehawk, is a good value for a high-end course.

This is a GREAT golf course- a former private country club now open to the public, with a wonderful design, challenging par 5's, a couple of teaser drivable par 4's. #9 is the signature hole with a beautiful view of the local mountains, with a pond and covered bridge green side. The fairways are plush, and the green roll true- not too fast, but challenging. With numerous tee boxes, it offers something for every skill level of golfer. Excellent practice area with Pro-V's on the range, along with a short game area and putting green. The restaurant and bar are well stocked and ready for you, especially after your round. The grass area just outside overlooking the 18th green, with its cozy Adirondack chairs to relax in. Only 55 minutes outside or Reno- this is a gem of a course and well worth the greens fee. The have cabins available for rent on the property, which would make this a great golf weekend destination for a few couples, of a guys foursome. A must play if you're in the area!

Superior golf course in a beautiful setting. Played three rounds at Grizzly Ranch in early July and had a great experience. A friendly, very playable course with some of the best greens in the Tahoe area. Our group enjoyed the beautiful views,wildlife, water features and great condition of the course. Recommend golf at Grizzly Ranch.

I had the opportunity to play Grizzly Ranch for the second time last week. The entire course is beautifully maintained. The tees, fairways and greens are all pristine. The golf course is a good challenge but not too difficult for a 12 handicap golfer like myself. The pro shop staff was friendly and accommodating. It was a 45 minute drive from Truckee and well worth the trip. Don't miss the beautiful course.

My son and I had the opportunity to play Grizzly on Father's Day weekend, and what a great experience we had. An absolutely beautiful course, well maintained and fun to play. The course is challenging, but not too difficult for the average golfer. We found it to be very fair. It's hard to beat such a fantastic setting, and we'll definitely be back for more rounds in the future!

If your playing the Tahoe courses don't miss out on this one it is fantastic. Great challenge with picturesque views! We loved it!

I had a business trip to Reno and decided to meet a friend to play golf here, what an incredible course! As soon as I stepped out of my car it was truly a first class experience. The fairways and greens are meticulously maintained. The course it self is challenging but not brutally hard for a high teen handicapper like myself. The views of the mountain ranges are beautiful and highlighted throughout the course. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I am looking forward to my next trip to Reno/Tahoe area so I can play this course again.

Grizzly Ranch has a beautiful well maintained golf course. This is our favorite course to play. The staff are all welcoming and accommodating. The Lake house offers drinks, lunch or snacks and is a nice stop to relax and take in the views after golf. This is a must play if you are in the area!

Recently had a great "guy's golf weekend" for 4 days. 24 of us played tournament golf over several days and had a terrific time. General Manager Van did a great job hosting us and has a great sense of humor. Course was in excellent shape. Views are pretty spectacular also. On site lodges are nice and convenient. Nice pool and clubhouse for after golf. Driving range and practice area were good for warm ups. Heartily recommend The Grizz!

A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of playing the Grizzley Ranch Golf Course as a guest. The course is absolutely beautiful. The fairways are in good shape and the greens are quick and challenging. I would recommend this course for golfers who enjoy the game and surrounding scerery of blue skies, babbling brooks and pine trees. It was such an enjuoyable day, I can't wait to return! a very well thought-out golf course. challenging. i would recommend it, even nicer than white hawk. very nice practice/warmup area, pretty. good greens. food offered wasn't that special, but really enjoyed the day.

What can I say, it's beautiful, superbly manicured, pace of play was good. One of the best courses that I have played in quite a while. I was at Grizzly spending the 4th of July with some good friends who have a second home there.We teed off around 1:00 pm, and were finished by 4:30. EAfter every shot I played, I looked back to take in the breathtaking views. The greens were fast & true, the holes were well laid out, and the greenskeeper has kept the course in mint condition.The service at the pro shop was wonderful, the only downside is the Lake House (place to get drinks/food) was closed by the time we finished

I must disagree with anything less that an excellent rating for this beautiful, championship, well-maintained course in the Sierra Mountain. Grizzly Ranch Golf Course is all of this and more, with friendly and helpful staff. Don't miss playing this course, if you're in the Sacramento, Reno or the Bay Area and seek a memorable golfing experience at a reasonable price.
