We have family vacations every year with my grandchildren and miniature golf is a must with ice cream afterwards! Good for all ages
My kids thought this was the BEST mini-golf course EVER. I have to agree. It's GREAT and well worth it. We will return.
What a course! Choices on almost every hole and some really nice variations from hole to hole. The "maze" hole is superb. I was told by the cashier that the person who designed it (back in 1973, I believe) never did another one. A pity, indeed. By far the best course I've ever seen!
I loved this mini-golf course. Like they say, it's a garden. The design was impressive and the holes clever. There is also interesting interpretive placards for Catalina at each hole. Great way to spend a little time, even without the kids!
greatest of all time. this mini-golf course is undefeated. Seemed to be a little nicer than i remember in years past, and they have little tidbits about the island at every hole. Lotta fun
One of the most challenging mini golf courses we've tried. I was surprised how difficult some of the holes were. Definitely would try this course again.
The mini-golf was fun and challenging. There was lots of trees, so you are in the shade most of the course.
Nothing fancy ... much like the miniature courses of 50+ years go. Relaxing! Hurry ... a new Von's Grocery store may replace it :-(
My boyfriend had so much fun when went at night we went again, since we had time before our boat, the next day. The course is actually challenging. During the day is definitely easier to see but the night just added another level. I have been coming here since I was 7 and play every time I come....never gets old. Of course we go after we eat at the Chinese restaurant right across the street....yum.
I had not played miniature golf since my children were young. This course is very interesting and challenging. lots of fun. We played each of the 2 days in Avalon. I recommend it for any age person.
Nice little mini golf course. Clean and in the shade. A fun place to take kids or be a kid yourself!
Have been going for the miniature golf as part of our Avalon visits since the '90s. Charming, a bit retro, but that is part of the fun. Prices have gone up a little since a major rehab three years ago, and some of the lush feeling of being "Avalon's Central Park" was lost when some trees and foliage had to be removed. But it's still a unique pleasure (I wish night golf would return, at least two nights per week). Our family loves it.
We had a very fun time playing this beautiful 18 hole golf course. Most of it was shaded and it was not too crowded when we went so we were able to take our time with it. The cost is reasonable and it took us about an hour to finish.Tip: We got a 10% discount for this after going on the East End Expedition adventure. There is a place at the beginning of the course to store your belongings but I didn't want to leave my valuables so I packed it along with me. Unfortunately there wasn't a bench to sit on near every hole so I did have to put my belongings on the ground sometimes. My husband took score the whole game so he could check out he did with the stat range at the end of the course. Of course I did horrible but I did get a hole-in-one that I am proud of. Good thing I had a bright pink ball because I did hit it off the course a few times just so my husband could go fetch it.
It is just $9 for this course. At least half of it is shaded. Each hole gives a bit of Catalina history. It was a lot of fun. (If you go on your birthday you can play for free, but it closes at 5 pm.) (I posted this as the regular golf course review first--sorry about that.)
Love this place, fun put put, beautiful location. Also, random cats wander around, making it more Meowature Golf.
