While I like a lot the San Pedro Square area, I found my visit to San Pedro Square Market somewhat average. It does have several places for coffee, food, and drinks, but it felt more like a warehouse, than a place I would want to go out of my way and enjoy. For those who are living now in the many high rise condos/apartments in San Jose, however, it is very convenient to that area. Its a short walk. For many it can thus be their favorite and most frequented food court area if they live in the area and thus locals who live there may find it very good or better. While I like the other restaurants in this area a lot, the market itself to me had some interesting historical pictures, but nothing I would go out of my way to dine at. The market area does offer some special events such as live music.
This place offers entertainment options for small and LARGE crowds with plenty of variety of places to eat & drink. Great place for a meetup, game watching (large screens around everywhere), drinks (especially if you like beer), tame your appetite (so many options, I dare you NOT to find something you'll enjoy).
Went here for dinner while visiting the area for business. Loved the atmosphere (it was a 49ers game night) and there were a lot of really good looking food choices. Would definitely go back and would be a great place to hang out in a group.
we came here at night, very LIVE! music, restaurants, bars, everyone having a great time! so much offered in this area! you cant go wrong all types of people, young ,old, singles, families...it is a bit loud, so its not a place you really want to go if your are looking for quiet space...lol...but its a lot of fun there were 4 of us and each one picked a different place to order our food then we found a table and all enjoyed. later we went to the bar and had an amazing drink
The market has a very nice selection of food vendors. It's kind of like a smaller Reading Market but with better atmosphere. There is a nice outdoor seating area that often features live music. I highly recommend this for anybody in San Jose that would like to walk around and see the city.
A very small public area, about 1 square city block. There's some cool restaurants and bars. I enjoyed the communal atmosphere.
The market has a plethora of food choices, so friends can scatter and choose their cuisine and then all meet up in the outdoor area at the large tables. It is a unique area to San Jose and definitely one of the best choices if you have difficulty accommodating a large group with diverse palates!
Groovy place to hang out with friends! Has a little bit of everything to enjoy; for your taste buds, music preference, and style. Plenty of outdoor seating. A must go-to visit when in the San Jose area!
I love Pedro and his market. Lots of tasty and interesting food options. Wish the market was bigger though. There are 2 buildings and a very large outdoor space in between with lots of outdoor seating. Great place to spend a few hours and have some drinks.
We frequent San Pedro Square Market quite often. It's located in Downtown San Jose and has multiple food stands, a couple of bars and multiple seating areas. I like the outdoor seating space the best. There are TVs, too, for the sports fans. It's a great stop for when you have a group of people and you can't decide what to eat. There's a variety of food to choose from. Just a nice place to relax and be social.
The San Pedro Square Market is a venue comprised of small food stands that are a little bigger than taco trucks, a wine bar, a main bar with large TVs, coffee bar, and a one chair barber shop. There is indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating abutting The Peralta Adobe, a not much to look at old adobe dwelling that's almost as small as the taco stands in the venue. Wood fired pizza, Asian food, taco stand, coffee, and hot dog stand, all inside one building with TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE air conditioning. Go at lunch in the summer and you're in an uncomfortable sweat box eating marginal and/or inconsistent food. They also have weird rules regarding where you can take your wine. Tries, but fails miserably, to emulate Seattle’s Pike Street MarketFree live music a lot of Fridays. A second, smaller building has a mixture of little crafts and food venues.Should be listed under restaurants, not attractions. It ain't no attraction.
Good place to go with families and friends who have different food tastes. Good vibe downtown San Jose.
Lots of affordable, quality food and beverage choices. Perfect place for families, couples, dates or just meeting friends. Downtown San Jose needs this to keep people around after work, to come early before Sharks games, or even as a reason to live downtown.
Super tacos, good craft beer, excellent ice cream fro Treatbot! Super evening spot for a drink and live music!
Tons of food vendors, drink spots, and outdoor live music! What can I say! Ive eaten at nearly all the food vendors and they are all good. Great for a group outting
