This heavily visited park is perched high above the Pacific Ocean on a cliff. Packed with magnificent scenery and views in almost every direction, on a clear day you can see all the way to Catalina. Enjoy the park from top of the grassy knolls or if you feel up to the challenge you can walk down the many provided steps right down to the sandy shores. While the area might not be up to swimming due to the many rocks located close to shore, it offers many private enclaves to give you a rather personal sun bathing experience. Also great for Sun sets.
Literally stumbled across this place driving along PCH. Stopped and walked along the beautiful beach with amazing views. Perfect place to watch the sunset and have a picnic.
This park is truly one awesome place to get amazing photos of the scenery and also the sunset! We hiked up a few small rocks to what we thought would be an incredible spot for watching the sunset, it was beautiful! The beach itself is clean and I loved that there were seashells right along the water line! I am ready to go back...everyday!
My husband and I walked through Heisler Park one evening (incredible sunset) and then again the following morning. Views of Catalina Island, surfers, seals, seabirds, tidepools, and the beach. Lovely paved walkways on the bluffs overlooking the ocean with beautiful flowers and gardens, steps down to the beach and tidepools, and many photo opportunities! Bonus: our motel was just across the street!
First time . . . won't be the last. Beautiful flowers, deep blue ocean. Couldn't have been a more perfect day
This is a lovely park on a cliff right above the beach. There are walkways and benches surrounded by beautiful, well maintained landscaping. It is a wonderful location for watching the setting sun or just relaxing and watching the waves!
A must see while in Laguna Beach! You can meander down the lovely walking path along the ocean front or just sit and take in the beautiful views and fresh air. The landscape and vegetation are gorgeous! Perfect place for photographs!
Heisler Park is a little slice of heaven! It is the perfect place to enjoy a walk or a good sit on the benches. I love everything about this magical place! Come, relax, enjoy, and breathe in all of those negative ions from the ocean. You will be happy you did!
It is adjacent to where we stayed, the Inn at Laguna Beach. It is lovely for walks on the water's edge. The views are amazing. There is good people watching, too, and lots of room and facilities for a picnic and grilling. Just a lovely spot to dally in.
Limited parking on the street, but a nice walk, a green belt with a view of the ocean, You can relax on top of the cliff, and enjoy the ocean. Their are steps that go down, but this is a steep set of steps, Nice flowers, In front of the park are homes and condos, so this keeps the area quiet. Great sunsets.
A must see... totally tropical feel. The most photographed sunsets in the area, so beautiful!! Meticulously maintained.
It's hard to say anything new that hasn't already been written about this beautiful park. This is a must-see when you visit Laguna, but plan to spend some time. There are so many perfect picnic spots. There are nice restrooms. The sunset over Catalina Island is indeed a site to behold. The beach area has everything a SoCal beach can have, coves, tide pools, great surf areas, great snorkeling areas, and nice protected areas to sit and just enjoy the view. Continue reading the reviews. There is so much to see!
I took my parents and brothers to Heisler Park and had an amazing day. We took time to chat with the Eco Park volunteers and they were helpful and friendly, and gave us hints on where to see the best critters! Wear sturdy shoes that cover your toes and pants you can roll up or shorts for the best experience.
Great walking trail winds along the shore lines with great views and coves parks and restrooms along the way to make it pleasant
You pretty much have to pay to park anywhere you go in this area. I believe it was around $15. The views are beautiful, and there is plenty of walking to do paved and on the beach. My wife to a short video of a beautiful view there: http://youtu.be/CJ58SiSBGc4
