Sunnyvale R&G is nominally a private club, but is always open to the public on Tuesdays and every other Saturday. It can be busy during those times. It has a couple important advantages - it is one of the few places you can shoot a centerfire rifle in the Bay Area, for starters, and it's very geographically convenient (right off 280/85 at Foothills Expressway, near Stevens Creek). They also have a moderate sized setup for shooting skeet (Shotguns), and a pistol range (also rimfire rifles, with fixed targets at 25 yards).The range fee is modest, and services are extremely limited. There are no weapons for rent, nor ammunition for sale - you are simply getting access to a local range. The staff are very professional, no nonsense, and keep the environment safe.
