Visiting this restored Victorian Mansion ( actually two kits), is like stepping back in time. A view of Christmas at the prominent Doctor's home was magical. The whole house is decorated and the costumed guides add just the right touch of authenticity. It would be hard to imagine this home as "at the end of the streetcar line" or the roar of timber trucks passing to the railroad station or imagine having to close the shutters to keep out the dust when one of these trucks from the Sierras approached. Learn about the Meux family who still have roots in this city of 500K.

We recently had our wedding and reception at the Muex Home. Everyone enjoyed it. Dawn(the coordinator) was very helpful and it was very affordable. The Carriage House was great for the reception. We had a group with a specially arranged tour. They put us into 2 groups of 8-12 so everyone could hear the tour guide and have plenty of time for questions, appreciate the details. The costumed tour guides give a great perspective on what the Meux Family's life was like, what Fresno was like back in the day. Also give a good history of the Meux's impact on Fresno's health care.

It was a wonderful afternoon exploring the history of Fresno's Meux family. A guided tour through this restored home was very educational and entertaining. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I only bad things were, No place to sit during the tour and no photos are allow to be taken inside the home.

It has been a while, but I am going to visit this year. It is absolutely marvelous.It is a most memorable trip. The House is so beautiful. It is a must see.

The Meux Home is really a cool place to take the family. When my sons were young we took them several times. When our grand children are older we will take them. The volunteers that look after the Meux Home are very dedicated. Exhibits are changed frequently. The Meux home is from another era... every one should make multiple trips to see the different displays to better understand the history of this REGION. It is always a good show.

Visited on a Friday around noon. 2 docents aboard, very knowledgable and took plenty of time to tell us about house, family, and Fresno area. We appreciated it greatly. $5 per person and donations are encouraged.

I've been to the Meux Home a few times and I always find it fascinating. I see something new everytime that I didn't notice on the previous tours. If you are interested in seeing historical collections, then you'll enjoy the home. The best time to come is during the Christmas season. The home is completely decorated and you'll see what life was like in the Victorian era.

Went for a special dinner and we were treated to a tour of the home - the guides were in period dress and knew all about the home, the people who lived there and the history - fascinating. Want to go back again.

Since we had a little extra time, we decided to take the tour of this Victorian mansion. Well worth the $5 admission for the fun, informative look at early Fresno history.

This museum has a great collection of dishes and furnishings from early California. The home has been well taken care of and preserves some early Fresno, California history.

I really liked the tour of the house. I wouldn't take young children because there are a lot of small things that might break and they might get bored. If you like old houses and seeing how people lived way back when, then this is a tour you must take.
