We had an excellent tour of Callaway and learned about the winery history and how the wine is made. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable.

Don't spend your time or money visiting this winery when there are so many other nicer wineries in Temecula... What an awful experience! The wine tasting room is utterly sterile. On one wall they even have "wine vending machines" where you can insert a pre-paid "wine card" to try the wines without any human interaction. Wait! That might have been a better experience! Our wine server- Cole - was utterly inattentive and inept. If we were using the wine vending machines at least we wouldn't have had to waste so much time waiting to be served. It was not that the tasting room was crowded...it was pretty empty, and in retrospect, with good reason. Lastly, besides the poor service and the unattractive tasting room, the wine was not very good. I cannot comment on the restaurant; we had no desire to spend any more time at Callaway.

Callaway has always been one of the best wineries in the Temecula Valley. Their remodeled tasting room allows for lots of space to taste. Special ares with great view upstairs for members. Staff are very friendly and always happy to see you.

Can you say Late Harvest Chardonnay? OMG! The absolute best sweet wine on earth. I so do not drink dry white wine such as Chardonnay, but this late harvest is off the hook! I have been getting it for a few years and it never disappoints. I have had a wine club here for a few years and get it shipped to Nevada. We recently took my father there, who does not drink wine, but we attended the harvest festival and he LOVED the sweet wine. I couldn't believe it--he is a beer drinker for sure! My husband loves their red, but I don't know which ones he likes since they never stay in the house long! Go here for sure!

this restaurant stands out above the other wineries both structurally and food wise.they have a very creative chef who is not afraid to try something new. We had black truffle crostinis which were delicious, fish special superb. Didn't really taste many wines as we spent most of the time at their restaurant, maybe next time it will be just wine tasting....

Loved this place! Everything about it was spacious and beautiful. The most unique feature was the dispensing wine machines. You use your debit or credit card to dispense wines of your choice....a nice alternative to the usual tastings. The wine selections were superb. I am glad we stopped here.

Don't miss out on this winery! The wines are delicious and the staff are very friendly! We visited several wineries and Calloway exceeded my expectations!

The grounds were beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We paid the $5.00 tour fee and enjoyed a brief informative presentation/tour with Art. The bartenders double up on the tour presentations and we were pleased to see him during our wine tasting to request samples of the wines he described during the tour. We also purchase the $10 tasting ticket which gave us four choices. One additional perk is the option to buy a card that can be used at the dispensing stations. We purchased both options but you can get by with either option. The card option (for the dispensing station) costs $10 for 4 servings or $15 for 6 servings. One note with the dispensing station is you need to pick the right button for your selection or you will end up with a glassful instead of a sample and your card will be wiped out. A final note for our self proclaimed "Northern California wine snobs"--We have been to both regions and sampled wines from one end of the state to the other and both have their positive traits. We have also sampled wine in the south of France and Mexico and again they have their own unique characteristics. It isn't really fair to make an "apples to apples" comparison with the various regions. Even from one Temecula winery to the other you will find some that you like more than others. If you're considering a trip to any of the So Cal wineries don't let these personal preferences deter you from checking it out. This is why it's wine tasting. We found some wines that were comparable to the wines we tasted in Napa earlier this year. A shout out to Les who took his time making selection suggestions for our tastings. If you're not a big wine drinker ask for a dessert wine. The late harvest Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon were outstanding. These will cost you two tickets per tasting but definitely worth it. Enjoy!

Great experience. The people were helpful and knowledgeable. Their wine club is a good deal. Excellent wine!

Tough decision on rating because our wine server was very nice and they didn't rush us to finish even though we were there from 4:50-5:10 with 5 o'clock closing. Just didn't find the wines all that good. Hate to be a northern Califonia wine snob, but they just didn't measure up to Monterey, Paso Robles, Napa, Sonoma or even Los Olivos. Same with the scenery. Nice, but there is better.

great winery. Very knowledgable staff, and were very patient with us in explaining the different wines. Great view of the mountains and the grounds were immaculate. Try the Sorella. Great

Just took the wine tour with Grapeline and the first stop on the tour was Callaway, wow what a wonderful start to the day..... the staff in the tasting room were excellent and the guided tour could not have possible been handled better than it was with Art..... only been working there for like 18 months and such a wealth of information and knowledge it was truly obvious that this young man loves what he is doing and who he is working for..... This winery is a definite stop......

We weren't sure what our options would be in terms of a tour of the winery-we didn't want to spend a fortune, just get a feel for the process and behind the scenes look at the winery. Our tour guide was very friendly, answered all our inane questions and was helpful in selecting wines to sample. The tour price was very reasonable as were the tastings.

We were staying in San Diego for the night and arrived late in the day but I wanted to make sure that I experienced a Temecula Valley wine tasting experience before the day was over. Glad we chose Callaway! A very nice tasting room with lovely views of their estate. Their wines were excellent and the server was pleasant and informative. I purchased several bottles to take home! Definitely will visit here again in the future!

We came here as our second stop for our family's mini winery tour. The tasting was reasonable at $10 for 4 tastes. The view was excellent and staff was friendly as in most of the wineries in this area. We also stopped by the restaurant for lunch. When we got there around 12:30 p.m., it wasn't all that crowded, but by the time we finished, the place was packed with people waiting to be seated. The food was well prepared, my meatball pasta was good, but not great. My daughter's yellowtail, once again, was good, but not great and it was on the dry side, which is not unexpected for yellowtail. I was surprised they had grilled yellowtail as it is a difficult dish to make it right. My wife had the egg roll tapa and that was pretty good. The price was reasonable and they do pair the right wine with your meal, which was a plus. I would recommend this place for those who don't want to go all the way to Napa. The gift shop was nice as well with the wife picking up a few items.
