scenic road walkway

wow, nothing much to say except that it is the most beautiful road we have been on in the whole world ! it looks like Ireland, corsica, Brittany, Scotland, and has all the beauties of those places melted together as one place. dramatic views, true to all photos you have seen about this Highway 1.

Carmel was a beautiful place to visit. The walkway allows you to take in the views and enjoy the great weather.

Maybe our expectation was too high for 17 mile drive how it is advertised and even charges an entrace fee. We stumbled upon this on a map and decided to take this route to Point Lobos. Glad we did. Really awesome scenery and houses along the route.

Living in Pebble Beach, I only had to drive 5 minutes to get to this place. It is so beautiful on the Monterey Peninsula, and Carmel has so many great locations to visit, while visiting. Make sure to do the Boardwalk....

Just walking around Carmel is lovely, we walked the path overlooking the beach. I can not say any more.

We walked along this road after visiting Carmel beach. We noticed from the beach this road looked like a nice place to take pictures of the coast. We walked a long the road not sure whether to stare at the beautiful homes or the views of the ocean. We have beautiful pictures from this walk! Well worth it!

My husband and I love this walk any time of the year. We just came from our trip to Carmel and have tons of pics from this area.

a must when visiting Carmel. Take your camera and enjoy! Early morning is maybe the best time. Beautiful beaches, houses along the shore line, all clean and nice.

This is the best place with views and if you like to look at really small, really expensive houses, this is the place for you! We started at Ocean Ave and walked both ways then decided to walk to Pebble Beach. That was kind of a long walk but well worth it.

This is a must do when you are in Carmel. Pretty scenic route along the coast with all the nice house and the ocean.

This is one of the most beautiful places to walk. The trails are well maintained and easy. The views of the coast are unbeatable. Plenty of places to explore along the way with nice beaches or rocky crags to explore. You could spend the day just walking this area.

One of the prettiest beaches in America...beautiful crushed granite walkway affords walkers, runners and doggies a gorgeous view at all times of day. My fave is to arrive before sunrise and watch the sun hit the waves as they crest on the beach.

This walk meanders among beautiful homes along the coast with a fine sand beaches and large rocks with crashing waves. We never found a real walkway but followed the road for over 3 miles then walked back into the village. Gorgeous

We stayed close to the walk and it is an excellent way to get your exercise while on vacation. The homes are lovely to look at and the ocean and sea air are invigorating.

Have walked this for many years and always find the view fascinating. The different colors of the water as the light changes! Fabulous sunsets. Waves crashing against the rocks! Amazingly beautiful homes! What's not to like?!
